  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Mid-Acts Dispensational Bible Study and the Lost Epistle

In Acts 15, mention is made of an Epistle one does not much hear of, either on the part of those who seek to present the Mid-Acts Perspective of Bible Study, or on the part of those who debate against it, that their traditions of human viewpoint, together with their pride, stand.

For contrary to the example of Acts 17:11, 12a, I have yet to meet anyone who will actually shut up and hear the Mid-Acts Perspective of Bible Study out, ask questions actually meant to understand what they perceive as an untruth given their tradition, rather than questions actually meant to uphold their tradition.

I’ve lost track of how many have set about to save me from my error in their self-deluded belief that they actually have something new to say, in the face of the reality I present.

I basically know just about everything they are going to say, yet they have never heard of what I assert.

Yet, it never seems to dawn on them, “how is it this person not only knows my doctrine so well, but is actually able to point to the very passages by which I claim what I do, yet I know nothing of this mystery he is going on about?”

All they know is that “this mystery doctrine is odd” to them; that “it is so left field contrary to” their tradition.

Talk about the blind attempting to lead the blind - they are blind due to the traditional blinders by which they approach the study of Scripture. Blinded by that to the fact of Scripture itself - that what they are experiencing in response to this seemingly odd doctrine of ours, is the exact same response Scripture reveals was the response to it two thousand years ago, as related right there in their Bibles; in Acts chapter 15 and Galatians 2, per Romans 11:25-27.

Right there, in the Word of God they profess to be their sole authority, we see their very response to “this Pauline mystery” experienced by Jerusalem assembly, in response to "that gospel that Paul preached among the Gentiles," Gal. 2:2, Acts 15.

So much so that division resulted – between “they of the circumcision which believed… the gospel of the Circumcision… Peter’s prophesied grace they would have to endure unto end to…under the Apostle of the Circumcision - Peter – and they which had believed "the gospel of the grace of God" - that unprophesied, mystery grace pertaining to the Body of Christ the Body possesses, not in the future, but then and there, as we do now. This Body comprised of both, formerly uncircumcised in heart Jews, and the Uncircumcision – the Gentiles that Paul was the Apostle of, Acts 15, Gal. 2:7-9, 1 Peter 1:9-13.

A division which might have continued, but for both, the Bible “conference,” they had towards a resolution of this confusing issue, together with its conclusion; an epistle mentioned there, that was sent out to both Peter’s Circumcision assemblies, and Paul’s Jew-Gentile assemblies, regarding this difference between both gospels, Acts 15, I Peter 3.

Although, unlike you, their confusion was partly warranted - for with the raising up of the Apostle Paul, God’s revelation became:

6. Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:
7. But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
8. Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
9. But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
10. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
11. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

This mystery of formerly uncircumcised in heart Jews and uncircumcised in the flesh Gentiles – this mystery of these two as fellow-heirs with the Lord over the Heavens - had been unsearchable - for “from the beginning of the world,” it had “been hid in God who created all things by Jesus Christ: To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,” Eph. 3:6-10.

If you know some things one way – as the Israel of God had known things – that is; to believe and then hold on to the end for that grace you will one day be saved by – at the revelation of Jesus Christ, 1 Peter 1, but then God puts that on hold, and begins to do something else – with and through a new, Heaven destined creature; the Body of Christ, “until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in,” Romans 11:25-27, that would throw you off.

You’d need some clarification and no one could blame you.

But that is what happened way back then between these two groups, given their respective programs. That is; given God’s Two-fold Purpose for both the Earth and the Heavens – His prophesied purpose for “the Israel of God,” Gal. 6:16, over the Gentile nations, thus His 2nd Advent to them one day, Isaiah 61:1-6, after the fullness of His once unprophesied, kept secret purpose, now made manifest mystery purpose concerning “a new creature,” the Body of Christ – joint heirs with Christ over those principalities and powers in heavenly places, thus their own, one day Mystery catching up to Him, Eph. 1:20-23; 3:10; Rom. 11:25-27.

That is why they were momentarily thrown off – God’s having temporarily put on hold their side of His Two-Fold purpose, that He might begin at last to first form the agency by which He will one day restore back unto Himself authority in those presently fallen high places even now inhabited by the prince of the power of the air and his dark princes of this world – that spiritual wickedness in high places – His new creature will one day run the universe from, Eph. 6; Eph.1.

These believers back then were rightly confused by this new revelation – even Satan was thrown off by it! - 1 Cor. 2.

But that is not why you find this doctrine odd. You find it odd because, but so much so that this truth was eventually lost, as wisdom in it’s own conceits gave rise to the traditions of men you have been ensnared by. Which tradition, you, never having known anything but, now experience a confusion out of to this mystery doctrine – though there it’s been, right there in your own Bible, in Romans through Philemon, for two thousand years now.

For as Paul wrote in his very last letter just a short time prior to his death, for the very sake of this mystery you treat so lightly - concerning this “purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel: whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles… For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day. Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus….This thou knowest, that all they which are in Asia be turned away from me; of whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes,” 2 Tim. 1:9-15.

This poor precious, dear brother of ours in the Lord – the Apostle Paul - while fools ask if he died for us that we, in their warped minds believed we make so much of him – the Scripture makes it clear that he did just that – not for our eternal life, but for the sake of that eternal glory the Lord, through this mystery Paul alone preached, wanted us to walk in an understanding of unto the Glory of God in Christ, Acts 9: 15, 16; Col. 1:24, Col. 2:1-5.

It truly saddens me to encounter the opposition that science falsely so called – the tradition of men – so proudly holds to in complete disregard of their sin against it - so much so that you cannot reason with them, by the Word alone.

Danoh, I hope you have written a book or two. I need to settle in to my quiet time, talk to the One who loves me, and read with great clarity your expository on the scriptures. I wish I could come here more often.

Actually, no I have not written a book. But for his view on how the spirit world works this side of the completed cannon of Scripture, Keith Blades,' 300 plus page book, "Satan and His Plan of Evil," is an excellent read as to God's Two-Fold Purpose:

This site basically summarizes the book:

Triangle Bible Church

Here is an excellent, Scriptural, summary of Satan's Plan and God's counter BEFORE THE FACT, from the Mid-Acts Perspective!

Why the mystery?
by Nancy Paulson
Why did God hide what He was going to do in this dispensation of the grace of God?
(1 Corinthians 2:6-8) Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: {7} But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: {8} Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
To understand God why kept some wisdom hidden we need to look at Job 5:13:
(Job 5:13) He taketh the wise in their own craftiness: and the counsel of the froward is carried headlong.
Satan had a wise plan:
(Isaiah 14:12-14) How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! {13} For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: {14} I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
The Bible defines “most High” as the one who possess the heaven and earth.
(Genesis 14:19) And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth:
(Genesis 14:22) And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lift up mine hand unto the LORD, the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth,
Keith Blades in his book 'Satan and His Policy of Evil' writes concerning Satan's wise plan: "After formulating his plan of evil, Satan went about implementing it by acquiring for himself the necessary allegiance of creatures in both the heavenly and earthly realms. By doing so he usurped the dominion of the heavenly places and became the “prince of the power of the air.” Through the fall of Adam he acquired the dominion of the earth and became the “prince of the world.” With both positions intact, Satan possessed the means for putting his plan of evil into effect and realizing his objective of being “like the most High.”"
Up until the Apostle Paul it was only revealed, (i.e. spoken by the mouth of the holy prophets) that God was going to restore his rule and authority in the earth.
Satan thought that he knew it all and no secret could be kept from him:
(Ezekiel 28:3-4) Behold, thou art wiser than Daniel; there is no secret that they can hide from thee: {4} With thy wisdom and with thine understanding thou hast gotten thee riches, and hast gotten gold and silver into thy treasures:
However, God had a secret:
(Romans 16:25) Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,
The mystery revelation that was revealed to the Apostle Paul shows that God is wiser than Satan (in other words, God hid a secret from him). It is through the very thing that Satan thought he would secure his being like the “most High” (by crucifying the Lord Jesus Christ) that proved to be his downfall.
(1 Corinthians 1:18-19) For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. {19} For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
(1 Corinthians 2:7-8) But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: {8} Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
(Ephesians 3:3-5) How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, {4} Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ) {5} Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;
(Ephesians 1:9-11) Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: {10} That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him: {11} In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
The “all things” are defined for us in Colossians:
(Colossians 1:16-20) For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: {17} And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. {18} And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. {19} For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; {20} And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
The “all things” are positions of governmental authority in heaven and on earth and these will be reconciled unto God. From Genesis 1 to Acts 9, we read about God’s purpose to put His rule and authority on the earth through a kingdom vested in the nation of Israel.
But Paul reveals that hidden purpose in which God will restore the heavenly places:
(Ephesians 2:4-7) But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, {5} Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) {6} And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: {7} That in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
(Ephesians 3:9-11) And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: {10} To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God, {11} According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:
All this to show that there is only one wise God:
(1 Timothy 1:17) Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
(Jude 1:25) To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and for ever. Amen.

Eph. 4:16

Galatians 3:8- And the scritpure "foreseeing that God would "justify the heathen through faith", preached before the gospel unto Abraham. Compare with Romans 5:1, and Galatians its about the same justification through faith the gift of God, see Philippians 1:29, Romans 5:16.

Paul is teaching the prohetic promise given to Father Abraham 430 years before the law came into the world, Pauls not teaching anything never before revealed, you have been hoodwinked into a falsh perception of the mystery that takes the acts saint out of the setting of the prophetic kingdom promises.

Being a former mid acts believer I know the song and dance being used and it doesn't line up with the facts. The only possible mystery never revealed to any of the sons of men was post acts.

Grace, Glen.

Glenn,

What about this mystery?:

"Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began" (Ro.16:25).

Danoh,

Triangle Bible Church is a most excellent Bible study on our sonship edification and study. I do own Keith Blades "Satan and His Plan of Evil," which is a most excellent read that every Believer-Saint needs to read and understand God's Two-Fold Purpose and Satan's attack on the grace of God today. I have a forum on sonship edification for Believer-Saints to learn this excellent sanctification truth we have today.

The “all things” are positions

Hi , and Col 1:20 , where " all things " PANTA is used by Universal Reconciationist to prove that all WILL EVENTUALLY BE SAVED ,

But the KJV , LEFT OUT the Greek Article and it should be translated
TA PANTA , which means " The All Thing " and is speaking about " the " SPECIFIC THINGS , and in verse 20 does not mean " all things .

Here in Verse 20 , it speaks to the Body of Christ , and this is N0T the only place where the Greek Article IS NOT TRANSLATED , DAN P

satan's Plan and God's counter

That's exactly backwards!

God has a plan, and it's satan that is countering, trying to tear it down...

God never plays second fiddle to the devil or anyone else!

And, everything we need to know is in the canon of scripture... we don't need any extra biblical stuff. Anything not currently in God's Word available to us here will be revealed to us after this age has past...where we can enjoy it, like God sharing the riches of His Grace to us for all eternity!

Carry on...
