Mid-Acts Dispensational Bible Study and the Lost Epistle
In Acts 15, mention is made of an Epistle one does not much hear of, either on the part of those who seek to present the Mid-Acts Perspective of Bible Study, or on the part of those who debate against it, that their traditions of human viewpoint, together with their pride, stand.
For contrary to the example of Acts 17:11, 12a, I have yet to meet anyone who will actually shut up and hear the Mid-Acts Perspective of Bible Study out, ask questions actually meant to understand what they perceive as an untruth given their tradition, rather than questions actually meant to uphold their tradition.
I’ve lost track of how many have set about to save me from my error in their self-deluded belief that they actually have something new to say, in the face of the reality I present.
I basically know just about everything they are going to say, yet they have never heard of what I assert.
Yet, it never seems to dawn on them, “how is it this person not only knows my doctrine so well, but is actually able to point to the very passages by which I claim what I do, yet I know nothing of this mystery he is going on about?”
All they know is that “this mystery doctrine is odd” to them; that “it is so left field contrary to” their tradition.
Talk about the blind attempting to lead the blind - they are blind due to the traditional blinders by which they approach the study of Scripture. Blinded by that to the fact of Scripture itself - that what they are experiencing in response to this seemingly odd doctrine of ours, is the exact same response Scripture reveals was the response to it two thousand years ago, as related right there in their Bibles; in Acts chapter 15 and Galatians 2, per Romans 11:25-27.
Right there, in the Word of God they profess to be their sole authority, we see their very response to “this Pauline mystery” experienced by Jerusalem assembly, in response to "that gospel that Paul preached among the Gentiles," Gal. 2:2, Acts 15.
So much so that division resulted – between “they of the circumcision which believed… the gospel of the Circumcision… Peter’s prophesied grace they would have to endure unto end to…under the Apostle of the Circumcision - Peter – and they which had believed "the gospel of the grace of God" - that unprophesied, mystery grace pertaining to the Body of Christ the Body possesses, not in the future, but then and there, as we do now. This Body comprised of both, formerly uncircumcised in heart Jews, and the Uncircumcision – the Gentiles that Paul was the Apostle of, Acts 15, Gal. 2:7-9, 1 Peter 1:9-13.
A division which might have continued, but for both, the Bible “conference,” they had towards a resolution of this confusing issue, together with its conclusion; an epistle mentioned there, that was sent out to both Peter’s Circumcision assemblies, and Paul’s Jew-Gentile assemblies, regarding this difference between both gospels, Acts 15, I Peter 3.
Although, unlike you, their confusion was partly warranted - for with the raising up of the Apostle Paul, God’s revelation became:
6. Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:
7. But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
8. Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
9. But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
10. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
11. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
This mystery of formerly uncircumcised in heart Jews and uncircumcised in the flesh Gentiles – this mystery of these two as fellow-heirs with the Lord over the Heavens - had been unsearchable - for “from the beginning of the world,” it had “been hid in God who created all things by Jesus Christ: To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,” Eph. 3:6-10.
If you know some things one way – as the Israel of God had known things – that is; to believe and then hold on to the end for that grace you will one day be saved by – at the revelation of Jesus Christ, 1 Peter 1, but then God puts that on hold, and begins to do something else – with and through a new, Heaven destined creature; the Body of Christ, “until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in,” Romans 11:25-27, that would throw you off.
You’d need some clarification and no one could blame you.
But that is what happened way back then between these two groups, given their respective programs. That is; given God’s Two-fold Purpose for both the Earth and the Heavens – His prophesied purpose for “the Israel of God,” Gal. 6:16, over the Gentile nations, thus His 2nd Advent to them one day, Isaiah 61:1-6, after the fullness of His once unprophesied, kept secret purpose, now made manifest mystery purpose concerning “a new creature,” the Body of Christ – joint heirs with Christ over those principalities and powers in heavenly places, thus their own, one day Mystery catching up to Him, Eph. 1:20-23; 3:10; Rom. 11:25-27.
That is why they were momentarily thrown off – God’s having temporarily put on hold their side of His Two-Fold purpose, that He might begin at last to first form the agency by which He will one day restore back unto Himself authority in those presently fallen high places even now inhabited by the prince of the power of the air and his dark princes of this world – that spiritual wickedness in high places – His new creature will one day run the universe from, Eph. 6; Eph.1.
These believers back then were rightly confused by this new revelation – even Satan was thrown off by it! - 1 Cor. 2.
But that is not why you find this doctrine odd. You find it odd because, but so much so that this truth was eventually lost, as wisdom in it’s own conceits gave rise to the traditions of men you have been ensnared by. Which tradition, you, never having known anything but, now experience a confusion out of to this mystery doctrine – though there it’s been, right there in your own Bible, in Romans through Philemon, for two thousand years now.
For as Paul wrote in his very last letter just a short time prior to his death, for the very sake of this mystery you treat so lightly - concerning this “purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel: whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles… For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day. Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus….This thou knowest, that all they which are in Asia be turned away from me; of whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes,” 2 Tim. 1:9-15.
This poor precious, dear brother of ours in the Lord – the Apostle Paul - while fools ask if he died for us that we, in their warped minds believed we make so much of him – the Scripture makes it clear that he did just that – not for our eternal life, but for the sake of that eternal glory the Lord, through this mystery Paul alone preached, wanted us to walk in an understanding of unto the Glory of God in Christ, Acts 9: 15, 16; Col. 1:24, Col. 2:1-5.
It truly saddens me to encounter the opposition that science falsely so called – the tradition of men – so proudly holds to in complete disregard of their sin against it - so much so that you cannot reason with them, by the Word alone.
