You mix up your Shadow laws with God's 10 Commandments. Besides God's 4th Commandment which is the SEVENTH DAY SABBATH written on stone, there were "SPECIAL" annual ceremonial Sabbath connected to the annual Jewish festivals in the OLD COVENANT written in the MOSAIC BOOK OF THE COVENANT.

These ceremonial Sabbath were not God's 4th Commandment of the 10 Commandments but were connected to annual festivals and could fall on ANY DAY of the week depending on the yearly cycle (please read LEVITICUS 23;24-39).

These ceremonial "SPECIAL" Sabbath were connected to..

* Annual festival of The blowing of trumpet (Leviticus 23:24)
* Annual Day of Atonement (Leviticus 23:32)

These "SPECIAL" Sabbaths could fall on any day and were connected directly to these festivals that were prophetic in nature pointing to Jesus and God's plan of Salvation in the NEW COVENANT.

You have your Shadow laws from the MOSAIC BOOK of the COVENANT *EXODUS 24:7 mixed up with God's ETERNAL LAW that give us a KNOWLEDGE of sin (Romans 3:20; Romans 7:7).

Jesus actions on the Sabbath, directed by the Father, were provoking the religious leaders of his day and challenging the law itself.

The Father directed Jesus to defy the two most fundamental aspects of the Sabbath.
1) No work of any kind on the Sabbath.
2) No gathering of food on the Sabbath.

When the leaders and people saw this, they could only conclude that he was breaking the Sabbath. In his defense, Jesus confirmed that he, and his Father, were in fact working on the Sabbath and that he and his companions were gathering food on the Sabbath. But more importantly, that he was the Lord even of the Sabbath, it was his call, not theirs. Man was not made for the Sabbath. Our needs outweigh the demands of the law.

I see in the NT an incremental putting aside of the law.
It started with the coming of the forerunner, John the Baptist. The Law and the Prophets prophesied until John. Then what? At that time the gospel of the kingdom was being proclaimed, and everyone was pressing their way into it. Jesus picked it up from there. And even continued after his death, resurrection and ascension to work through the Apostle Paul to complete the task of setting the law aside.

So, there is a before and after relationship to all these events. Best explained in this scripture below. The law was our jailor (we were locked up) until this faith came. Now that this faith has come, we are no longer under the law. (set free from the imprisoning custody of the law)

Galatians 3:23-25
Before the coming of this faith, we were held in custody under the law, locked up until the faith that was to come would be revealed. 24 So the law was our guardian until Christ came that we might be justified by faith. 25 Now that this faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian.

It is in the light of the surrounding verses that we see what Paul is speaking of in verses 5-6. He is speaking not of the Sabbath day but of people who are weak in the faith and decide in their hearts that the Lord does not want them to eat certain things on certain days. There are many studies on these two verses that can be found online that show that what Paul was speaking of here was not the Sabbath day but instead of those who chose to limit what they could eat on certain days.

While I do not agree with this Church's(Seventh Day Adventists) views on the translation of the Greek word used for unclean in romans 14

Through the Paul the Apostle we are told the Sabbath remains, and he preached the Full Gospel of Christ(Hebrews 4).

I agree resting from our own works and doing God's work is not burdensome at all if you love the Lord.

Only to those who do not have a passion and love for the Lord. Also are you saying that God's law(Law of the spirit/faith)is burdensome?

Yes and we do the Lord's work being rewarded by our Lord in Heaven.

For me personally I believe the health laws that God has given us still apply because it is the Word of God and I can't find anywhere in God's Word that says these laws have changed. If God says something we should obey him. He has given us health laws for a reason. However I do not judge in relation to food and drink.

2 CORINTHIANS 6:16, And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? FOR YOU ARE THE TEMPLE OF GOD; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

19, What? KNOW YOU NOT THAT YOUR BODY IS THE TEMPLE OF THE HOLY GHOST which is in you, which ye have of God, and YOU ARE NOT YOUR OWN?

the health laws were given to God's people because we are the temple of God and he is the live in us.........

1 CORINTHIANS 3:16, KNOW YOU NOT THAT YOU ARE THE TEMPLE OF GOD, and that the SPIRIT OF GOD DWELLS IN YOU? 17, IF ANY MAN DEFILES THE TEMPLE OF GOD, HIM SHALL GOD DESTROY; FOR THE TEMPLE OF GOD IS HOLY, WHICH TEMPLE YOU ARE.

This includes sin from the heart (Matthew 15:18).

These are some of the dietary laws God has given his people...

GENESIS 9:4 But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.

DEUTERONOMY 15:23 Only THOU SHALT NOT EAT THE BLOOD thereof; thou shalt pour it upon the ground as water.

LEVITICUS 19:26 Ye shall not eat anything with the blood: neither shall ye use enchantment, nor observe times.

1 SAMUEL 14:34 And Saul said, Disperse yourselves among the people, and say unto them, Bring me hither every man his ox, and every man his sheep, and slay them here, and eat; and SIN NOT AGAINST THE LORD IN EATING WITH THE BLOOD. And all the people brought every man his ox with him that night, and slew them there.

most meats unless kosher have the blood in it...

LEVITICUS 11:47 TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE CLEAN AND THE UNCLEAN, and between the beast that may be eaten and the beast that may not be eaten.

We are not to eat unclean foods...

ISAIAH 65:2-8
2, I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people, which walked in a way that was not good, after their own thoughts; 3, A people that provoked me to anger continually to my face; that sacrifices in gardens, and burns incense upon altars of brick;

4, Which remain among the graves, and lodge in the monuments, WHICH EATS SWINES FLESH, and BROTH OF ABOMINABLE THINGS ARE IN THEIR VESSELS; 5, Which say, Stand by thyself, come not near to me; for I am holier than thou. EZEKIEL 22:26 Her priests have violated my law, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, NEITHER HAVE THEY MADE A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE CLEAN AND THE UNCLEAN <see Leviticus 11:47>, and have hid their eyes from my SABBATHS, and I am profaned among them.

Some believe that Peter's vision means we can ignore the dietary laws that were given by God...

ACTS 10:1-28
1, There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band, 2, A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God always. 3, He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius. 4, And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God. 5, And now send men to Joppa, and call for one Simon, whose surname is Peter: 6, He lodges with one Simon a tanner, whose house is by the sea side: he shall tell thee what you should do. 7, And when the angel which spake unto Cornelius was departed, he called two of his household servants, and a devout soldier of them that waited on him continually; 8, And when he had declared all these things unto them, he sent them to Joppa.................

9, On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour:

10, And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance,

11, And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending unto him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:

12, Wherein were all manner of four footed beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.

13, And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.

14, But Peter said, NOT SO LORD FOR I HAVE NEVER EATEN ANYTHING THAT IS UNCLEAN AND COMMON.

15, And the voice spake unto him again the second time, WHAT GOD HAS CLEANSED, THAT DO NOT CALL COMMON.

16, This was done thrice: and the vessel was received up again into heaven.

17, Now while Peter doubted in himself what this vision which he had seen should mean, behold, the men which were sent from Cornelius had made inquiry for Simon's house, and stood before the gate,

Now the question here to consider is what was it that God had cleansed and we should not call common, this is what Peter was thinking about. While Peter was thinking about what was the meaning of the vision The praying gentile that believed God was at his gate asking for Peter...

18, And called, and asked whether Simon, which was surnamed Peter, were lodged there.

19, While Peter thought on the vision, the Spirit said unto him, Behold, three men seek thee.

20, Arise therefore, and get thee down, and go with them, doubting nothing: for I have sent them.

What was it that God was teaching Peter.....

27, And as he talked with him, he went in, and found many that were come together.

28, And he said unto them, YOU KNOW THAT IT IS AN UNLAWFUL THING FOR A MAN THAT IS A JEW TO KEEP COMPANY, OR COME UNTO ONE OF ANOTHER NATION; BUT GOD HAS SHOWN ME THAT I SHOULD NOT CALL ANY MAN COMMON OR UNCLEAN

So the vision was not about saying that all foods are clean but that now all man it clean and that the Believers can preach the Gospel to the Gentiles...

1 Timothy 4:4-5 For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving; 5 for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

This is a reference of food that can be eaten that is sanctified by the word of God. This is a reference back to what foods God says are clean and unclean not a reference saying you can eat anything.
