that is just plain silly. I am not going to continue arguing a fact that 1+ 1 = 2 while you continue to say it equals 11...

Prove your case then. Show how the Lord's DAY is the first day of the week from scripture. You haven't. Neither have you provided any scripture.

The words Sunday to Saturday were never used in OLD AND NEW TESTAMENT scripture only days one to Sabbath. Only the Sabbath is connected to Lord's Day in NEW TESTAMENT scripture * Matthew 12:8 not μιά των σαββάτων, the First Day of the week.

Not at all I am only sharing from God's WORD that the scripture reference that many use to Sunday as the "LORD'S DAY" in Revelations 1:10 is not biblical

It absolutely is, ALL Greek speakers affirm this for almost 2000 years! It is plain silly to say otherwise!

I already gave you the days of the week WITHIN Scripture and OUTSIDE of Scripture IN GREEK.

Really? You have not proved it from scripture.

No you have not. You have not been able to link the word used in Revelations 1:10 "Lords Day κυριακῇ ἡμέρᾳ to any scripture reference in the NEW TESTAMENT to μιά των σαββάτων the FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK.

κυριακῇ ἡμέρᾳ used in Revelations 1:10 is in reference to the Lord's ownership of the day. It does not say that this day is in reference to μιά των σαββάτων the FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK.

Your challenge in this OP is to prove that the Lord's DAY is in reference to the First day of the week and prove it from the scriptures.

Ignatius, a disciple of the Apostle John, talks about Sunday as the Lord's Day in his epistle to the Magnesians:
If, therefore, those who were brought up in the ancient order of things have come to the possession of a new hope, no longer observing the Sabbath, but living in the observance of the Lord's Day, on which also our life has sprung up again by Him and by His death — whom some deny, by which mystery we have obtained faith, and therefore endure, that we may be found the disciples of Jesus Christ, our only Master — how shall we be able to live apart from Him, whose disciples the prophets themselves in the Spirit did wait for Him as their Teacher? And therefore He whom they rightly waited for, having come, raised them from the dead. Matthew 27:52

I am being serious!

Indeed and you have not proven your case or been able to show from scripture that κυριακῇ ἡμέρᾳ used in Revelations 1:10 is in reference to μιά των σαββάτων the FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK.

Yes I am aware of that David thanks for sharing. My challenge here however is to show it from the scriptures alone. Keeping in mind only God's WORD is true and we should believe and follow it over the teachings and traditions of men that break the commandments of God.

I don't need to, the Greek ITSELF does!

Tradition often says it is, and makes that claim, so many believe it, instead of Christ.

This quote shows that the Lord's Day is not the same as the Sabbath. Therefore, we see that the Apostle John was talking about Sunday.

Since I've been waiting over a year now (at least) for someone to point out to me *exactly* where it directly states in the New Testament that Gentile Christians are commanded to observe the seventh day sabbath in these discussions, and have yet to get a specific answer (likely because no such scripture exists), I think fair is only fair on this Lord's Day argument. :)

OP - You have a case to make, no doubt about it, but is it really a matter of extreme importance? The early Christians reportedly worshiped on both Saturday and Sunday, but they eventually settled on Sunday, as this was considered the Lord's Day. We cannot be certain when this happened. All we do know is that the Catholic/Orthodox Church finally settled on Sunday in the early 300's. I doubt very much that one's salvation is dependent upon which day of the week one decides to worship (and rest, if many Christians even do such anymore and believe me, not very many do.........)

The early Christian Church was originally no more than another branch of Judaism. They worshipped in temple and synagogue with their Jewish brothers and sisters. In some rare cases, they constituted the majority and were able to control the order of service, readings and such. However, in most cases they were a minority and could not insist on their own readings or rituals. The custom arose that these Jewish-Christians would meet again on the day (our Sunday) following the Sabbath for a service on their own. Tensions rose within the Jewish community until about AD90 when the rabbinical council of Jamniah decided upon the scriptures that would be permissible for use in synagogue services. This effectively ended Christian participation in Sabbath synagogue worship. They did however in most cases continue the tradition of the Sunday service which became known as "the Lord's Day". This eventually became the norm and was in fact made law by Constantine. In due course theology was invented to justify the change.
