Anybody else keep a running list of all the albums you want to buy? I just have a Word document that I keep adding albums to when I find something I want to buy. There're probably around 300 albums on the list now, with more added all the time. I thought I'd start up a thread where we can put down what albums we don't have that we're looking forward to getting. Here's ten that are near the top of my list currently:

The Olivia Tremor Control- Dusk at Cubist Castle
Neutral Milk Hotel- On Avery Island
Built to Spill- Perfect From Now On
Radiohead- Airbag/How Am I Driving EP
Tortoise- TNT
Phish- Live Volume 15
Sonic Youth- EVOL
Pere Ubu- Dub Housing
Pavement- Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain
Ornette Coleman- The Shape of Jazz to Come

You want TNT by Tortoise?

I want that CD too! I didn't think anyone else knew of them.

Oh yeah, man. I have Millions Now Living Will Never Die and it is wonderful. I downloaded the title track to TNT and really loved it, so I can't wait to pick it up, too

Have you heard of The Operacycle? Similar sound, very good CD as well.

Nope. I'm gonna go look them up now, though. Thanks ;)

but Nadro, i have that radiohead EP and it's pretty good IMO, considering i'm not a huge RH fan.

I'm surprised someone who's not a big Radiohead fan has it; it's a bit hard to find. Cool, though, I'm looking forward to getting it soon.

BTW, you should definitely get the OTC-Dusk @ the Cubist Castle. I'm a big fan of it. I want their Black Foliage album, so that would be on my list.

I want to check out some American Music Club stuff, but don't have an album in mind yet.

Papa M, no album in particular

Decemberists, no album in particular yet

i need to write them down when they come to my head, in one place b/c i have about a million lists scattered around my apt. that i can never find....organization is not one of my strengths....

Lots of good music listeners in here.

The OTC "Dusk at Cubist Castle" is a masterpiece. It's like "Aeroplane" but more Beatles-inspired.

Nico, I have every single Decemberists album and EP. They are so best. So mmmmbest. Colin Meloy is hot, too. I really can't get over how good their music is. Just buy "Castaways and Cutouts," even though "Her Majesty" is just as good. I think "Castaways" is a good place to start though because it's more consistent.

Nadroj, the Radiohead Ep is spectacular. It's outtakes from the OKC sessions, and it's just as good. Oh, and TNT really is my favorite Tortoise Album. The title track really is the best though. Tracks 8-10 are throwaways, but the rest of the record is still good for just chilling or studying. Their new album, "It's All Around You," is okay. I wouldn't buy it though. Not as good as TNT.

U2- Wide Awake in America
Thou shalt buy immediately! Amazing live version of Bad, and The Three Sunrises is one of my favourite songs.

My list? Well ... can I include unofficial stuff too? Yes, I will.

U2 - 1 September 1984, Auckland
U2 - 7 April 1987, Houston (this concert is notable because it's the only time 40 has ever been played in its entirity and NOT closed the show - rather, it closed the main set)
U2 - 27 December 1989, Dublin
Anything Pink Floyd
Crowded House - Recurring Dream, The Best Of
The Feelers - Supersystem
The Feelers - Communicate

There's not really a whole lot I desperately want right now ... I'm always trading U2 stuff though.

I have quite a few bootlegs that I would like to buy, when I become a little more prosperous, I will.
Or of course, you can do trading and the only price you pay is postage. That's what I do. :) (Though you don't get the cool picture discs ...)
