Have you ever wondered why the Levites had no inheritance in the physical land, and why the Lord was their inheritance?
It was Gods way of showing the people...giving a picture to them of the priests/holy people(what we know as faithful people today) needing no part in the land inheritance. Their( and our) inheritance is much better... the Lord.
Num 18:20 And the LORD spake unto Aaron, Thou shalt have no inheritance in their land, neither shalt thou have any part among them: I [am] thy part and thine inheritance among the children of Israel.
Jos 18:7 But the Levites have no part among you; for the priesthood of the LORD [is] their inheritance:
Jos 13:33 But unto the tribe of Levi Moses gave not [any] inheritance: the LORD God of Israel [was] their inheritance, as he said unto them.
Psa 16:5 The LORD [is] the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.
Psa 73:26 My flesh and my heart faileth: [but] God [is] the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.
Psa 119:57 CHETH. [Thou art] my portion, O LORD: I have said that I would keep thy words.
Psa 142:5 I cried unto thee, O LORD: I said, Thou [art] my refuge [and] my portion in the land of the living.

Was there any other inheritance mentioned other than the land or the Lord?
Hebrews clearlt explains( to the Hebrews!!) that there is a much better inheritance then earthly land.
Hbr 11:16 But now they desire a better [country], that is, an heavenly:
