Mass public shootings rightly terrify us, but they remain statistically very rare. The same is true of firearm deaths related to the use of semi-automatic "assault weapons."
Again you have cause and effect mistaken. In this case both crime and left-leaning are consequences of a third factor: population density.
If this was true, you'd think there would be fewer gun-related deaths in the US compared to the rest of the world.
The vast majority of my dearest friends are flaming Liberals. I can't even begin to explain what a tortured life I've lived; but I keep loving them, despite their shortcomings. But I'd advise you all to make some liberal friends.
Unless you buy it from a private sellers or unlicensed vendors. There is already background checks. You can't buy a gun without one (even at gun shows).
hose statistics are laughable, bogus on their face, and have been ripped apart for years.
Unless you buy it from a private sellers or unlicensed vendors.
Correct me if I am wrong, but cant you buy a gun in, say, texas from a private vendor and then drive to chicago with that gun and not break any law and lawfuly own a gun in chicago without a background check that way?Again, that depends on what state you're in; and we see the highest rates of firearms crimes, in the states with the most draconian gun laws.

Thats why I was asking. Thanks for the information.Correct me if I'm wrong; but mustn't all interstate sales go through an FFL, with a Form 4473 and a background check?
Information on this subject is rather scarce now. I was following this subject in my journals, very closely, as it unfolded.Tell us more about this.
Thats why I was asking. Thanks for the information.
That seems like a reasonable precaution, at least as far as US gun laws look reasonable to me as a german.
I have to admit that watching videos of black folks going in stores and just grabbing an armful of clothes or other items and carrying them out, apparently without any fear of repercussions, is not a good look. The Left wouldn't need anymore gun laws to suit their fancy; if they would enforce the existing laws.
It seems that Liberal states tend to be more lawless. They create plenty of laws, that they can't seem to enforce. What we end up with is selective enforcement, and law abiding residents, victimized, and living in fear, which is unjust.
How dare they let pegasi join the armed forces! Just not natural! This is the hideous future liberals want.
How many tyrants have gun owners in the US overthrown? And while we have been ready to overthrow a tyrant with handguns, how many innocent Americans have been killed by guns? I suppose having more than one mass shooting per day is just the price we need to pay to maintain that readiness to overthrow a tyrant.
This shows what false conclusions one can reach by interchanging cause and effect. It is not liberal draconian gun laws that cause high murder rates. It is high murder rates that cause draconian gun laws.
As for "subverting the Constitution", the 2nd amendment is not serving the common good. It would be a blessing to repeal it. When you subvert something that is evil, you do good.
And you think it would stop there??? What you have said is exactly why many of us will protect every right we have because there are those who see our rights as an inconvenience to their accomplishing their progressive agendas which they believe is for the best for all and anyone who does not agree with them is not worth listening to and should be cancelled. As for "subverting the Constitution", the 2nd amendment is not serving the common good. Except that's a symptom of a bigger problem and it's not gun based, it's resource basedI have to admit that watching videos of black folks going in stores and just grabbing an armful of clothes or other items and carrying them out, apparently without any fear of repercussions, is not a good look.
And how much you want to bet they don't realize miscarriages are also technically called spontaneous abortions in medical terms?Statistically, abortion is very rare compared to the number of conceptions that happen every year. Yet groups who claim to be pro-life are much more concerned over abortion than gun-related deaths, and not the slightest bit concerned over miscarriages, which dwarf both figures combined.
I dont think its a problem of resources, its a problem of resource management. The usa has a high enough police budget, it just isnt spent well.Except that's a symptom of a bigger problem and it's not gun based, it's resource based
The problem is not the laws so much as the culture where guns are fetishized to the detriment of any consideration of safety or prudence. Just owning a gun gives someone an undue sense of power because we idealize the Revolutionary War when they had single shot rifle at best. The Left wouldn't need anymore gun laws to suit their fancy; if they would enforce the existing laws.
