Seems like to me, if Christians really believed what they preached, then they would look forward to death.

Guess they are not perfect yet..:) But he that believeth on me, Jesus said will never die! So we never have death to look forward to. Just a little sleep, and going to be with the Lord. Join us. It'll be fun.
Heaven's sure gotta beat the heck outta this place. ;)
Yes.

Given that it withstands testing and also provides us with the ability to make predictions which can be confirmed (and HAVE been confirmed), I'd say that it's isn't really meaningless after all.
What is the "it" you thought withstood anything? And what would that "it" have to do with knowing the state of the future or past?

And yet you have never once shown what part of history agrees with you. Come on! Specifics!
Spirits and spiritual events in history, good or bad. Long lifespans. Remember, that only very very early records would be near the nature change.
I love how you use the term "religion" in an attempt to make an insult.
It is when science is supposed to be what the thing is.

What do you think I said here? I simpl,y said that science isn't arrogant enough to think it currently has all the answers.
Good. Admitting ignorance is a great first step.

The "IT" I am talking about would be the thing we were discussing.

Or have you forgotten it alreasdy? You do seem to be rather forgetful. Perhaps you should see a doctor?

*Ahem*

What part of SPECIFIC do you not understand?

It is when science is supposed to be what the thing is.

Ah, but what I am talking about IS science.

Good. Admitting ignorance is a great first step.

And going out to find out things is an even better second step.

But you don't do that, do you?

Ok what about Karma and the laws of the universe. What goes around comes around, do you believe that? Or do you think you can do whatever you want to do and get away with it?

I don't believe in karma, no, no matter how nice a concept it might be. And eternal torture would not be appropriate karmic retribution for a finite crime, anyway.

The stars? Howso? You been there?

We don't need to be there to study some things about them, dad. It's what's called "sight." Of course now we have better sight through X-ray, ultraviolet, and microwave telescopes but the general idea is the same.

Seems to me man thirsts for love, and God. Something is missing here. To a smaller degree man also needs family and wife...etc. To be separated from God would be to suffer and thirst. God is calling all now, to be happy and saved and live forever with Him in His kingdom. He gave His son, hundreds of prophesies, a nice world, air, water, plants animals and etc etc...what more could He do? He doesn't want anyone to go away.

Actually you need to do more than look at some little light too far to dream of going to, and imagine it is the physical only stuff under your nose. Just sayin...

Unless space was our earth state space none of that matters! If more than physical 3D objects could exist in a space far from our abilities to perceive, then what we look at cannot be assigned the mundane physical only meanings that men assign to the wonderful creation way out there. No distance can be known, UNLESS you prove that OUR space and forces and laws extend all the way there. Checkmate.

Better you be clear. Others may read this that know not what bit that you refer to as "it"..I read your posts, and still would like you to be honest and clear.

What part of SPECIFIC do you not understand?
The part you think science deals in or can.

Ah, but what I am talking about IS science.
Then what is 'it' that is science you are talking about specifically? Think about 'it'. It might come to you.

And going out to find out things is an even better second step.
After milk and apple pie? Yes, that would be nice, whatever you are jabbering about this time.
But you don't do that, do you?
Not sure, what is 'that'?? You really have some contraction curve balls here. Impressive.

We can see that things act the same millions of light years away from us as they do on Earth. No biggie.

You need earth state space to determine distance...biggie! You don't have it. In the bible, the heavens will be rolled up like a scroll. Like snapping a finger. Your imaginary star universe doesn't seem a good fit there....

We have reasons (aka evidence) to believe that the laws of the universe apply everywhere and anytime. Now, if you have contrary evidence, please spit it out. Otherwise, you're done. NBD.

Good thing the Bible's description of heaven isn't real, then.

All your reason for deep space claims involve distance which involves our space and laws. That means it is way out of your depth.
