The law is not for me?

There is a whole belief system out there that says, "The law was never meant for us". If this is true then you're not a sinner and if you're not a sinner then you don't need Jesus nor have you ever needed Jesus.

Good point... if sin is the transgression of the Law, how else, but by the Law, are we made aware of our sin?

Sin existed before the law was added. It exists since the Seed came. All wrong doing is sin. Any man who knows to do right and does it not, to him it is sin. How does he know? Because the Spirit convicts with respect to sin and righteousness and judgment.
