OK girl. NOW you are going to make me cry! Hm..that is part of the process too. Actually crying....oh yikes, don't get me going on this.
Ahhhh Mellie don't cry....Gabs hugs her .....I think I realized why you feel so dizzy...remember you said you are the clay and God the potter, you see that now....well I think He might be spinning you around on that potters wheel real fast.....molding you quickly because there is so much work for you to do....just sit back, take some dramamine for the motion sickness and enjoy the ride ...there is a new and improved Mellie on the horizon and I can't wait to see the finished product.
I love you so much the way you are I can only imagine how my heart will sing with joy for you with the new parts in place, I am here cheering you on praying for you and loving on you with all my heart.

I made a new present for the ARC this morning... sent it to Gabs already :D Might have to wait until we get a 1000 posts in this thread and have it split until it's revealed. So let's get posting...

At the board, I see alot of people taking their frustrations out on each other. Not venting (we all need to vent) but instead of debating the issue, they'd rather hurt the other posters. This saddens me alot because we're called to unify and fellowship with one another as Brother and Sister... not as Christian hating another Christian. What also makes this site so unique is that we have a large amount of non-Christian members here of different spiritual backgrounds... and we can learn from each other. There's been many times I've seen around here where the peacemaker of the thread is not a Christian but is a Muslim, Buddhist, or an Atheist. Yes God even brings those of different beliefs into our lives to show us how to be better Christians.

Let's all be peacemakers today and every day we post at CF... we need more of them here :) St. Matthew shares with us this...

"Blessed (with life-joy and satisfaction in God's favor and salvation) are the makers and maintainers of peace, for they shall be called the sons of God!" (5:9)

Jesus is the King of Peace! We should follow in His steps even if it for something we do not agree with. You don't have to agree with their opinion, but do not hate the person because of their opinion. God teaches us by showing us a little bit of light at a time... little baby steps in faith. As matured Christians here, we still take little baby steps, but we have enough faith in our hearts to start giving out some of that light to others... we should show them that the Holy Spirit resides in our souls and hearts.

When you bring peace into a situation, you bring love and forgiveness. When you show light on a situation, it helps both sides and brings peace. Be that strong Christian Sister or Brother, and help others have some of that light and peace in their lives by forgiving them and uplifting them.

Blessings to you all.
Tati first let me say the new ARC picture is awesome thank you I can't wait to share it with everyone.

I also want to say how this was so good to hear and kind of lines up with what I heard God say today that I will share here...my blog post.
Thank you Tati you are an inspiration.
Gabs hugs her tight.

I know I have made it a practice of reposting my blogs here but I feel I need to, so indulge me please.

The chapter I have posted below, 1 Corinthians 13 that my pastor recommended, hits home today as I I know I have truly applied it to my life.
I am still working on the keeping no record of being wronged, but I have allowed love to let me forgive.
Sometimes it is hard to forget, but I see things in ways that I know God has opened my eyes to, and God has shown me how and why people do things and I understand. I do know I have always had the ability to love thru pain, and keep loving and never stop no matter how bad I have been wronged, I believe that is the one thing God gave me that is a constant, and I am so grateful for that.
Once again this morning the analogy came to me in the form of a kitten and a cat...yes I know you can laugh, I did too.
I went out this morning to get my coffee and the little red kitten ran to see if I had put out food, I reached my hand out to it and it ran, as it always does, but this morning it came so close to getting hit by a car, I screamed and saw it run and hide. My heart ached for it, because it still chose to live too close to the traffic putting it's life in danger. Like we sometimes do.
Later the mother cat came to eat and I saw how she was hissing at her children, and when I reached for her as I always do she smacked at me as well. My heart sank because she had been tainted by the world.
She had not stayed close enough to me and she no longer knew or trusted me anymore. I yelled at her at first, and then realized love was what she needed and reached out and spoke gentle words to her.
We too are like that yelling at our Heavenly Father sometimes when the world hurts us and abuses our feelings. And He reaches out to love us and draw us near.
People in this world are like that too, sometimes things cloud friends visions of who we are, gossip, confusion in our motives, weariness in their lives, lack of clarity in our judgement for not loving them enough and being there when they need us, putting our needs first.
I want us all to read this chapter over and over again...I know I will.
What I see is this, God's love is unconditional, He loves us whether we choose to love Him or not.
He will hold us close to His heart whether we run away or whether we choose to rest in His arms.
My prayer for myself today is to keep loving unconditionally as my Heavenly Father does, whether I am loved back or not. Because I believe the gift of selfless love is better than love that is returned because it has a major hand in molding us. I need to apply that in all aspects of my life it is what Jesus did. He did not think why bother to die on the cross for these humans, some of them will reject me why should I die for them, no He saw our pain and confusion and human brokeness and loved us in spite of it. I want to be like that, to love others when no love is given, to forgive others when no foregiveness is given. To pray for others when they might curse me...for if I can achieve this level of love it will heal my brokeness in a way no human hand can mend ...it will lift me to the highest level of the purest form of love that our God has for me, my Heavenly Father's love, and when I truly tap into that and feel it, and make it part of my every waking breathing moments I will truly have found Heaven on Earth.
This is my prayer for all of you as well.
Be blessed dear brothers and sisters in the Lord.
G

Corinthians 13 (New Living Translation)
New Living Translation (NLT)
Holy Bible. New Living Translation copyright © 1996, 2004 by Tyndale Charitable Trust. Used by permission of Tyndale House Publishers.

1 Corinthians 13

Love Is the Greatest

1 If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing. 3 If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it;[a] but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing.

4 Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud 5 or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. 6 It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. 7 Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.
8 Prophecy and speaking in unknown languages[b] and special knowledge will become useless. But love will last forever! 9 Now our knowledge is partial and incomplete, and even the gift of prophecy reveals only part of the whole picture! 10 But when full understanding comes, these partial things will become useless.

11 When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child. But when I grew up, I put away childish things. 12 Now we see things imperfectly as in a cloudy mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity.[c] All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely.
13 Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.

Sunday, January 14

This week's promise: God is always fair and just Do you deserve justice or mercy?

O Lord, do not rebuke me in your anger or discipline me in your rage.
Have compassion on me, Lord, for I am weak. Heal me, Lord, for my body is in agony.
I am sick at heart. How long, O Lord, until you restore me?
Psalm 6:1-3 NLT

"You have heard that the Law of Moses says, 'Love your neighbor' and hate your enemy. But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you! In that way, you will be acting like true children of your Father in heaven."
Matthew 5:43-45 NLT

About this week's promise

When others wrong us, we cry out for justice. When we wrong God, we cry out for mercy. Fortunately, God is merciful. But if we don't accept his merciful gift of salvation, we are subject to God's justice, the punishment of eternal death and separation from God. Until God sets up his eternal kingdom, where perfect justice prevails, justice will continue to be needed here on earth—both God's justice to urge us toward his kingdom, and law and order to keep anarchy from ruling. But we would do well to learn some lessons about God's mercy as we mete out justice. While justice provides law and order, mercy provides hope and forgiveness—God's formula for restoration.

Hmmmm looks like I am an audience of one with a couple of drop ins today ...oh well... I'll talk to myself since it is what I seem to be best at lately...LOL well I talk to God at least I have Him. I answer myself too, pretty scarey.
I am reading this book called "The Heart of the Artist" by Rory Noland" great if you are in the arts performing, visual arts, a recommend by my dear sister Martinique a fellow thespian, thanks honey.
Great quote in it that I am posting seemed to really hit the spot today.

Be more concerned with your character than with your reputation, because your character is what you really are while your reputation is merely what others think you are." John Wooden

Thank God I know this is really the truth I think the Lord gave this to me today thank you Father in Heaven I really needed to hear this.... and a great Amen to that.

LOL I know once I was that little penguin but today I feel like that bear...LOL thanks for the visual...a picture is worth a 1000 words.

I would be a very good bear! Bears are expected to wake up grumpy. And bears are not expected to shave their legs and armpits. Bears are expected to eat huge amounts of food and get very fat! Bears are expected to sleep for half the year! I'd be a great bear!^_^

God lead me to this devotional for tonight just now. Gabby and I will be having our own personal chuckles right about now :D

patience_by_werol.jpg

The above image is of a bird standing completely still until the very right moment to catch the fish. Without this bird having patience, it would starve to death.

Learn the Power of Patience
For you have need of steadfast patience and endurance, so that you may perform and fully accomplish the will of God, and thus receive and carry away what is promised.
~ Hebrews 10:36

Patience is powerful because it frees you from the control of the devil and the circumstances he brings to upset us. However, patience--- which is a fruit of the Spirit---only grows through trials. It is during these times that you can develop the ability to remain strong and stable.

Patience is required if you are to see the fulfillment of God's promises in your life. So, it is important to develop control over your thoughts and what you say when you are faced with challenging circumstances. It isn't easy, but with God's help you can do it.

Actively pursue the patience of Christ and it will lead you into His power. Then you will e able to accomplish God's will and receive His promises.

~*~

That's from Joyce Meyer's book Ending Your Day Right devotions (2004).

Amen! :amen:

I didn't know you'd be reminded of something in the past... I'm sorry if that hurts  I'm not wise... God guides me. He's the wise one :) Seriously I opened the book and there was the devotional. I said "Alright that's the one"... it's easy to just follow and not fight with Him.

My personal notes from an old study of The Purpose Driven Life (enjoy):

Book Notes:
“By the end of this journey you will know God’s purpose for your life and will understand the big picture—how all the pieces in your life will fit together….will reduce stress, simplify your decisions, increase your satisfaction, and…prepare you for eternity.” (Pg.9)
The period of time used to study this book is 40 days. However because we want members to be able to keep up with this study and their schedules each “day” will be take about three days to complete before we move onto the next one. Also, at the end of each “section” or “seven days”, we’ll take a few days for open discussion based on questions that members are having, or add other things into the discussion. Also, during this review period, I would like the members to join together at the chat room here to be able to discuss the mission, if we’d like to change it at all, have prayer for it, or talk about anything else that might help us improve with this mission.
But there is significance to the 40 days: mainly God uses this time period in order to prepare someone for His purposes. The book lists 8 Biblical events, ranging from Noah’s life up to Jesus’ life. We are to read each chapter one at a time in order to make sure we can write down our thoughts and how the lessons can be applied in order to help us understand our lives better. “Let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will know what God wants you to do.” –Romans 12:2 (NLT)

Personal Discussion Questions:
I want to open this mission up with a lot of prayer because if we truly look in our hearts for the answers that we’re seeking and we have the Lord showing us the right path, we could get a lot of things accomplished here. I want each of us to ask ourselves this questions: What questions do I have that I want this book to answer for me? Well we all know that most of our questions can be answered in the Bible and that’s why I’m greatly encouraging you to read this book with the Bible right next to you. Also, any of the Scripture stated here should be reviewed and studied.
As for a personal answer to what I would like to be accomplished in reading this book is the following:
• A better understanding of what path my Lord Jesus Christ is leading me down to and how I can incorporate my interests into bettering my work.
• Be able to support my Christian friends in understanding their own roles better and help them find what roles Jesus has for them.
• Being in college, stress is a major factor, so I’m hoping to learn better discipline through this book and also try to cut some of the stress out of my daily life.
• Just simply be a better Christian, showing others God’s love through me and also be a better servant to my Lord Jesus.

Another thing I would like to open in discussion is what we think our path…what we think Jesus Christ has already set up for us to be doing while we here on earth. As for myself, I have always felt a strong calling in the missions area and also in writing/educating. To be able to spread the Gospel has always been very exciting to me and knowing that, even if people decide not to come to the Lord, that they know the reason why I have so much love for them is because the Lord has always loved me and the love He has for me, simply shines through me.
Also, in college, I’m learning how to become a teacher because I love working with children and knowing that I can have an important role in their lives has always touched my heart and even since I was like four, I’d always helped others with understanding things and was always there to help explain things to friends that we weren’t certain upon. I’ve also been blessed with the talent of writing based on different Bible topics and even though I’ve been so busy with college and this web-site that I haven’t been able to recently, the Lord is pressing on my heart to continue to help with missions and when I do finally have some free time, I will start up writing again.
So looking over these paths, I will hopefully be able to become a teacher (my license will have me in grades 7 to 12 in the subject of Biology) and then at church I will be able to help out with missions and maybe with the youth group. I also feel a strong path with prayer, so maybe something could be there as well.
To recap, let me know what you thought the opening of the book was like, what you believe your path could possibly be, and also what you would like to accomplish out of this book. We’ll start discussion on the first “day’s” lesson on May 4th!! On May 4th, I’ll post a summary of what was learned and also any Scripture for the lesson at this topic and the next two days will be on discussion about what we thought, learned, and how we can apply it to our lives. God bless.
