There's no statement in Scripture that says any of the letters were written to Americans,
except when Yahuweh says all Scripture is profitable for reproof, discipline, correction .... that most Americans have already rejected anyway.

So there's no "problem with that line of thinking"..... I don't know where you got that from.

Also it seems you missed that the letters were not to churches. If people stick with Scripture instead of tradition and faulty translations, they do better.

All the epistles to cities were to churches!

Churches are the body of Christ! And in that day nearly all in a gentile city that were believers were banded together!

So if the letter to Galatians applies to believers in America- why do you resist that teh seven letters in teh apocalypse have other applications other than to the 7 churches- which they do!

Well The RSV is a faulty translation and the NRSV- in using the RSV as its foundation builds on its faults.

The newer the manuscript- the more it is likely to contain errors.

God says there is safety in the multitude of counselors and that God gave us pastors and teachers to mature us! To say we only need go to God is a fools errand!

I have no idea why you replied in such a way. The guidance you spoke of is as I posted. Yes, it is possible Yahuweh might provide you with counselors , pastors, and teachers to help you mature, as needed, but then it wouldn't be helpful if the wisdom and counsel given is rejected for whatever reason.

Maybe you should do a study into the lives of Westcott and Hort. Maybe you should also look into the fact that they themselves created a Greek text to write the RSV. But Here are some critiques of teh RSV and the committee responsible for it.

From what I read, the Dead Sea Scrolls predate the Masoretic Text, which is why translators consulted that and others for the NRSV:

Kiwimac Dean Burgon was around the same same time as Wescott & Hort. He never excepted their text of scripture over the authorised version. Why was that you think. What is your westcotthort web page that would be interesting to look at.
