YOU GUYS ARE PLUMB ASTONISHING!

Well, I've posted very little here these past few days, but you guys never cease to AMAZE me!!! I can see that I don't need to be here, hehe - that you will NOT let The Inner Room collapse and die!

I'd love to mention every one of you by name and say all manner of good things - however others have done that! But I agree - and add all my thanks and love and encouragement and every good thing I can think of - to the most amazing group of Christian people I've ever struck in my whole 50 years as a Believer in Jesus!!! Words elude me to tell you how I feel towards you all...

triangle,spin.gif
I HAVE TO TAKE A (SHORTISH) BREAK
triangle,spin.gif

On Monday I had a minor to medium COLLAPSE - got upset, angry, and other emotions which I've not had happen in ages! We've known for weeks that I was badly over-doing it because The Inner Room has grown so fast and become so 'successful' that all I was doing had just become too much for an ill man to cope with! I WANT to of course. I love you all. I want to be a servant to you and care about you. JUST CAN'T HELP MYSELF!!!

But Monday was a serious warning. If I ignore it and have a MAJOR collapse I probably wouldn't survive, because my grip on life is not strong at all. SO... as of now I'm taking some time out to recuperate, recharge the batteries, and even do some things for 'me' (I'd totally stopped doing that cos no time to - which is not good...)

CF CHANGES and THE INNER ROOM?

With people voting etc. for how they want the places they post in to work, I simply don't know what will happen with 'Deeper Fellowship' - which this thread is in. I know that J4Jesus will kindly help where she can, but please don't put any burden on her.

If it's possible to retain the thread EXACTLY as it is - certainly for NOW - then I consider that would be really great result! And I'm pretty confident most of you feel the same! I think we must PRAY and do everything we CAN to see that this is what happens!

MY TIME OFF...

The more seriously I take time out, the sooner I'll be back! So I'm making the break as total as possible, i.e., I won't be here, and so will NOT get PM's. However with these unexpected CF changes, some here may still want to leave - even if temporarily - until we all can see how CF ends up - and because I don't want to see ANY of us lose contact I've set up a temporary email address - bondman373@hotmail.com - where you can email and say that you've gone to [whatever forum] with [your name there] - or whatever of importance you wish to write. Normally you'll know I've received it and so I won't respond - but will be very grateful for it!

I thought this was rather essential, primarily because of the changing CF situation. (When I return I may leave the email address so people can still use me as a 'central' contact during times that CF is down.)

MY STAND-IN WHILE I'M AWAY

Quite early on Criada pretty-much 'automatically' became my 2IC (Second in Command! *smile*). She's assisted me and supported me in so many ways. The thread would have been so much the poorer without her help and support and prayer and incredible kindness to us.

During my absense from now, she has very kindly agreed to be my 'official' stand-in in all matters, and specifically in the case of any important decisions that may need to be made regarding CF changes. I will be rather IRATE if others who don't understand The Inner Room manage to mess up this wonderful thread which God started! Rather than being

on returning, I'd much prefer to be

or even

!! Yes, sir-ee!!!

Till then, piles of love and hugs to each one of you. I'll still be praying (can't stop that!) and thinking of you.

CYA soon!!!

- Bondman and his Beloved (my graphics are offline at time of posting, sorry)

Oh yeah, someone, anyone....share with me your Uni life? any kind of experience would be welcome please? hehe.. by the way, I'm hoping to major in Psychology and Writing just to let you know... anyone ever majored in either? anyway just share your experience at Uni!

I majored in virtually everything the first two years of school. Started with psychology, then communications, then philosophy. Finally, I ended up with an undergraduate degree in business, a then a masters in organizational development. My biggest regret is that I didn't pursue the one thing that gave me the most pleasure - writing. So I encourage you to follow your heart and not pocketbook when choosing a major.

I echo Criada's advice to you about taking time to meet other students. You will eventually find your niche. Most campuses have Christian prayer groups which I think will prove helpful to you. Many times your faith will be challenged and even ridiculed. One of my professors was a practicing Buddhist. He planted the seed in me to study Buddhism and then Hinduism - a path I maintained for 25 years. I was a tender plant ready to root myself anywhere. Hopefully, your faith is strong enough to withstand the pressures (usually subtle) to humanize Jesus and intellectualize God.

I will pray for you. College is an exciting time. Many people form friendships that are tighter than they'll ever create again - loved ones that you'll know for the rest of your life. Boyfriends, heartbreaks, deep bonds with others while challenging yourself intellectually and emotionally. My college years are rich in my memory - both good times and bad. I hope the same for you.

Thank you for all your prayers! You know, I am starting to feel better - my throat's not so sore, and my energy is up right now. Thank you, your prayers are working!
 So glad to hear you're doing better!

I am a walking human experiment. I'd love to hear what worked for you. Thanks!
A good diet of what the Lord has made, and herbs, which He also made. I suppose for greater details we ought to take the subject elsewhere rather than derail the thread. Let me just say, we often are asking the Lord for supernatural things, as we should, but neglect the natural laws He has put in place. In other words, we can't trash out bodies and expect to walk in divine health. I finally learned what he had been trying to get across to me for many years. I've walked in it now for over 7 yrs. and it has been transforming. I'll never go back.

Daniel 11:35 "And some of those with understanding shall fall, to refine them, purify them and make them white, until the time of the end; because it is still for the appointed time."

I was reading this today, and chewing on it and found it to be rather encouraging. You could translate "those with understanding" to be wise people. Some of the wise ones will stumble, but they dont stay down. And they are better for having stumbled because they learned.

So if the wise ones can stumble, yet get better, how much more will the rest of us? Of course, we are gonna stumble, trip, fall down, (maybe roll down hill a little) but we can get up, we can learn and be the better for it.
It also reminds me that even the great ones mess up. And to have compassion on them, and encourage them with the fact that they will be refined and purified. They will be even better than before! :amen:

My church and I are in need of prayer. A few weeks back I made the suggestion to my pastor that we should start a monthly class for new comers to come to and learn about our church. Hugh supported me and said that was a great idea. Well recent news in the weekly newsletter is making me wonder if this is what should be happening.

Our church is dying. Slowly. I don't know if I have mentioned this but my dad was the pastor before the current one at this church. When dad left the congregation was strong, growing, and thriving. We had all kinds of out reach programs, strong programs in the church, or preschool and daycare were full with wait lists, and I could go on and on... Not long after Hugh came to the church Brett deployed to Iraq and I slipped into a dark depression. There were days when I could barely get out of bed. And then I left town for the summer. I have just recently started getting back into the church. I have been gone for the most part for two years....o I have gone to church in that time period but it has been awkward. Hugh told my brother's they shouldn't come and we have been very uncomfortable in each other's presence - him more so than me.

When I drifted away there were two strong worship service and now...now we are done to so few people they are talking of making one service. People who have attended the church longer than I have been alive have left. I am constantly being stupid by members and former members asking what they can do to get rid of the pastor what I can do to fix things.

I can not get involved in the politics of the church with the DS and the bishop (we are methodist) I am too closely tied to the former pastor and the like.

I am at a lose for what to do. I will do my class on Sunday but I have for the longest time felt that I should move on from New Providence...

Anyway I tell you all of this and I am just asking for prayers for my church and for me.

Thank you

Praying for you, Amanda.
It is very sad when this sort of thing happens... so many churches get caught up in their own programs and ideas, and lose the focus on Jesus.
Stick close to God, listen to Him, and He will guide you. And if He wants you to move on, He will open the doors, and show you.

God bless you.

THINGS THAT EVERY GIRL SHOULD KNOW:

1) You don't have to be thin to be beautiful
2) You don't need a boyfriend to feel loved
3) You don't need jewelery to feel beautiful
4) Smile- let God's joy shine thru you. That will make you beautiful enough.
5) Don't diet. Exercise, drink plenty of water, eat wholesomely. You ll be beautiful that way.
6) Don't think that just because you don't have a boyfriend, you are not beautiful.
7) There is no such thing as an ugly-looking girl. But a girl can act ugly and so look ugly.
8) You don't need to have a size 24 waist. Don't believe what the media says. It's all rubbish.
9) There is no such thing as an ideal weight. If you have a BMI of 18.5, good for you. If you don't, it doesnt' matter. Just make sure that you
eat sufficiently, and not excessively.
10) When steps five and nine are already done, and you still do not like the number you see on your weighing scale, don't weigh yourself. Trust me. It does not make you any lighter. It does not make you any happier.
11) When you walk, pull your shoulders back and chin up. Wear light make up if it makes you feel more confident. Heels aren't necessary. Trust me. They are bad for your feet.
12) Go shopping if you like. It's therapeutic. But don't go excessive. Moderation is key.
13) When you speak to someone, look at them in the eye and smile warmly. That includes boys. Don't be shy or intimidated by them. They will appreciate you for your confidence.
14) Don't smoke. Don't do drugs. Don't do anything that may harm you. You are too precious for that. I repeat: you are too precious for that.
15) Cellulite? Well, scientifically, it is impossible to be cellulite-free. Don't look at pictures of girls in magazines. They are air brushed and altered to perfection. Don't look at them, i repeat- DONT look at them.
16) Look into the mirror each day and see how beautiful you are. When you see pimples one morning, don't touch it! Wash your face regularly. Sleep well, drink lots of water, and exercise! fruits and vegetables are a must as well. Then your pimples will reduce in size and in number following the proper lifestyle.
17) It is alright to pamper yourself once in awhile. It really is. When you feel stressed out, and feel like crying, just cry. It is very calming. God is close to the crushed in spirit.
18) When you see a beautiful looking
girl walking past the window, say "wow", not "ugh". She may look more beautiful than you are, but don't get all upset. There are many versions of beauty in this world, and you belong to one of them. She belongs to another.
19) Remember that you don't have to think the way magazines think. Long legged beauties are beautiful, but petite beauties are equally irresistable. Models are long legged because they look good on runways. But remember that they are only chosen for runways, not health advertisements. Ever wondered why?
20) Short hair is cute, not just long hair.
