CF CHANGES

Let's stay calm, at rest, and trusting God regarding changes to CF.

Please don't allow yourself to be moved. Stay founded on the Rock which is Jesus!

Hopefully The Inner Room will be able to stay the haven it is for those of us who want to be with others who love God, and a place where we can learn and grow - together, helping and supporting each other!

If not, then in the Lord, and only in and by Him, we shall COPE with whatever may come! We're not promised an easy path, just one where He is ALWAYS WITH US! That's where I live, and how I live. Let's stick together, and meantime pray and trust that God will both reveal and protect what HE wants for us - together!

He WILL show us the way - if we put our full trust in Him!!!

What changes? I've been too busy to notice if any have been implemented, or to bother reading the bothersome threads. There's too much good here to be involved in. There are people hurting to pray for, people who need love and encouragement. And everybody needs big helpings of the Word of God! Jesus is the Word, the living Word. (Maybe you read the message under my avatar.) Everybody needs big doses of love too.

So let's get busy and stay busy doing the work of the kingdom. And what joyful work it is!

Okay, please, please, PLEASE do not leave CF! Nothing's yet set it stone. I am going to try and make a brief but serious representation to Erwin about the proposed changes. As are others.

Change can be scarey to many people. But it's not evil nor bad! Often it's necessary. God does NOT like ruts, i.e., for us to get in a rut and stay there. And remember, HE will help you by His ever-present Spirit with anything and everything you may be having problems with. 'Running away' is seldom the answer...

If CF were to change for the worse - and we do not yet know that it will - THEN is the time to reassess what we do and were we 'be'. Not before! (And I already have ideas should it come to that - there's no reason this wonderful Family here should EVER be badly harmed. No way, hosay!)

Any problems you're experiencing, please share them here so we can go through this TOGETHER, okay!

yes i cant see any changes to cf part from title changing. i was really worried. this place has been a LIFELINE to me since finding it last october time.
im sad if people do leave.
this is like my second home. and there is no other place like it.
i think youre right change is scarey for people and we do tend to think the worse rather than the best i know i do.

CF CHANGES

Let's stay calm, at rest, and trusting God regarding changes to CF. The 'fuss and bother' in the thread is perfectly normal human behaviour whether we're talking believers or unbelievers. I'm not saying it's all right behaviour - just nothing to be surprised about.

Some people have strong feelings, others are taking the opportunity to 'say their piece' others the opportunity to argue, be nasty, etc. All normal humanity. Please don't allow yourself to be moved. Stay founded on the Rock which is Jesus!

Strife doesn't help anyone. The NT exhorts us to give up strife. And the Holy Spirit will help us to love, not have strife! So I gotta say that it's pretty sad that it's there and affects people adversely.

Strife doesn't help anyone. The NT exhorts us to give up strife. And the Holy Spirit will help us to love, not have strife! So I gotta say that it's pretty sad that it's there and affects people adversely.

Strife & Offense stop God from working in our lives. They are the opposite of Love & Faith. It saddens me to see people either leaving CF or terrified of the changes. We don't know what's going to happen yet - people are making worst case scenario assumptions and that accomplishes nothing. We need to pray and stand in faith. Nothing is impossible for our God, so lets trust in him.

I am sitting her dripping in sweat, er excuse me GLISTENING (real ladies don't sweat lol) after my workout which was mostly for healthy and partly for vanity. Anyway I sat down and was looking at my dailyverse on another site and it made me snort in that okay God thank you way (not in sarcasm at all!) I get the point. While working out is GOOD for me I need to do it for my health not for vanity...

If you read my blog you would have seen that last night I posted about leaving CF. I was not leaving because of the changes but I was leaving because I felt that the love and support that I had been getting before was dwindling. That people where tired of my prayer requests, were tired of my popping in, and were tired of the things I had to say. So I was going to step away for awhile and then see if I could come back.

ForeverAmanda, I have sometimes had the same thoughts as these. But I have come to the realization that it is the enemy trying to get you to quit! You are a valuable part of this forum and this thread! You have alot of good things in you that you can give to all, and dont worry about too many prayer requests. Girl, if anyone needs prayer its the newly married! And lots of it! And no way, are we tired of what you have to say! Do not beleive the lies of the enemy! You have worth and value here.
If you need to take a break because you are neglecting your family, or the Lord, then by all means....but dont because of a few lies the enemy is trying to feed you.

IMPORTANT NOTE


1. Because of the changes and irregularity of CF being online, it's difficult to know where we may all be in, say, a month's time. Psalmody has raised the matter of missing us, and many of us feel VERY MUCH the same thing!!!

2. Also, there's no assurance that The Inner Room will be hosted here, well, 'forever'. I DON'T mean I'm considering shifting, so please stay cool! But after all the 'fuss' of the past days obviously I've had to consider it.

3. Therefore, and this is the important part, if anyone here (whether you post or not!) is leaving (or considering leaving), maybe instead of just 'disappearing' and we're left mourning your loss (and I mean thatmost sincerely!), would you be kind enough to PM me just to say you're going, and where to.

Asking 'where' is none of my business of course, but I ask so that - well, let's say many of us feel we need to go elsewhere, and many of us are considering a PARTICULAR forum, then it would be simple common sense for me to look seriously of shifting The Inner Room to that forum! Can you see what I'm getting at here?

4. Obviously I'd keep anything you told me in strictest confidence.

BUT, this would help me to keep us all in touch with what's happening, or may happen, i.e., I monitor this and will post anything relating to this that my affect US ALL!

Thought I'd come here for a little R&R. Not many around though. Some are busy trying to draft the rules for their particular forum since now members have a say in it. That's why I'm not here much.

I would think this fourm on CF would not be as bad as some and hopefully not change much. Its nice here but really confusing other places on here. Some are changing which forum to go to on CF now , (depending on which rules are changed or stay the same). You may get more newcomers. Just have to wait and see.

I know a good number of us struggle with this thing called self love.

Our self-esteem is a major problem for most of the world! (so don't feel bad, hey!) Even those who look happy and happy-go-lucky may be using that to hide a poor self-image! The world is a negative place, and it can take as many as 10 positives to overcome just one negative! But hector, when was the last time you received 10 positives???

Furthermore the positives have to come from someone important to be the most effective! Thus my Beloved changed my life with her frequent affirmations of me, and of who I am. Often we want to believe good things about ourselves, but seeing no one else is saying them - we're simply not game to believe 'em!! Sad...

So affirmations are incredibly important in the Christian world! Are we giving them to those we're close to, and to those we love? ARE WE? Probably NOT! And if not, then it's time to start learning how to honestly say good things to close friends and rellies, esp. our spouse, and next our kids! Can't think of much to say? - then work harder! There will be good if you look hard enough, or a way to say the thing in a good way!

Meantime, we need to get with God and again honestly look at our good points. The honesty there needs to be to face up to what really IS good in us! Mostly we're very good with the bad ones. But if we focus on them, the good ones will get lost!

Get help from someone who knows you and you can trust. Again, I'm just gonna have to do temperaments soon, cos this can help greatly! (time the enemy! *sigh*) And the Lord WILL reveal good to you if you seriously ask Him and dare to believe He will (and wait patiently till He does)!

Because of all the trouble this matter causes in the lives of so many, I pray for us ALL to really really grow in this serious area of our lives!!!

"Lord, I know what You think of me and of everyone here, but we can struggle so badly to see this. By Your Blessed Spirit please help us to see, truly see us as YOU do. Need revelations Lord! And may we be on the ball with those close to us to ensure we are affirming them EVERY DAY! Thankyou cos you CARE so much for us!!

Tech Support: Sometimes. For others it takes awhile, but eventually everything gets it at the proper time. So Love is installed and running.One more thing before we hang up. Love is Freeware. Be sure to give it and its various modules to everyone you meet. They will in turn share it with others and return some cool modules back to you.
