All I know is that they're from Louisville, which is hella-close to where I grew up, so I pretended to like them because of that. Oh, and I guess I enjoy "One Big Holiday", but I've only heard it a handful of times. The thing is, I'm having a hard time pinpointing their sound for a review of their new album. Can anyone offer any help?

I liked their first cd, though I haven't heard the new one. I'm going to try and see them live next month, though.
Their first cd had to grow on me. At first I was kind of luke warm on it... but now I enjoy it well enough.

I saw him at a great venue in Newport, Kentucky called Southgate House. It's one of the cooler places I've been too -- though they make a horrible Shirlee Temple. It's an old mansion converted into a concert hall.blackwasp said:That's a good one (of course). Where did you see him?
You know, we really should just keep the Sufjan thread running. It would be popular.
On that note, I noticed yesterday that The Indie Thread has nearly as many views as The Coffee House. Woot!![]()

Hooray for home-made techno!
Ah. I wish I would've known!nadroj1985 said:Huh... I was there as well.
Sufjan was the first time I'd been there. Let me know who's coming and I'll come down again. I live in Dayton and attend school at UD.If you go to shows there often, we'll have to meet up sometime. I go there all the time -- there's a Clap Your Hands Say Yeah! show tonight that I'm going to, and Deerhoof is next Monday. Let me know if you go to another show there.
