Well, first let me start with a short one. Now for those who aren't too computer savvy, this number is in hexadecimal. Look it up in wikipedia.

This number was attempted to be banned from being online by the DMCA. Interestingly, this caused a major backlash, one which has rarely if ever been seen before online, causing this number to spread from a few sites which hosted it to all across the network.

So now I come down to my real question. Should a number ever be made illegal?

Those who are computer savvy should understand the true depth of this issue quicker, but others should just think a bit longer and read some of the responses.

Hex is a form of counting which instead of going up to nine before you wrap around and use the next digit to the left, one goes up to 15. This has a great deal of use in computer science.
