Here ya go Dad - this should clear things up.

According to Dr. Hovind, space is full of ice comets, and one hit the earth at the time of the flood. Apparently, it was -300 degrees (!!) and this caused the ice age, the axial tilt, froze the mammoths, etc.

Some of the ice fragments created the rings around the other planets.



(For my own safety, and that of my brain cells, I had to bail at the two minute mark, but I'm sure the information is all there for you).

So did Kent see this comet coming? Did it layer the ice? Did he have a dream..?

I have to admit, this makes so called science look plausible almost.

Only eight people lived when the other humanoids went extinct, and they "flooded" Out-of-Africa up to the tops of the mountains and around the whole globe.

But the scriptures are written for all men and all times.
The "flood" out of Africa is a comparatively recent observation.
So saying that this is what the writers intended is incorrect.

Let's look at what Jesus said about the Flood, why not? His words were:
"For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark, and they were unaware until the flood came and swept them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of Man."
If this is the case then surely the time before the flood was the same as that of Jesus and even the future.

I can give you a biblical case for why they aren't literal, though I have already you've dismissed them because they don't fit in with your preconceived theology.
