It is a great tactic because creationists are so often proclaimed to be wrong on this board no matter what evidence they produce. So he plays your game and beats you at it just about every time. People have a lot of respect for him because he is so good at beating people at their own game.

However my knowledge of God tells me that Christ in all things is more important than worrying about what the past says, did not Christ say don't worry about what has passed?

When He mentions the flood you think that means we should freak out, and forget all the past? I am not worried about a flood coming, I am aware that one came.

And also did he not say that ALL of the prophets and law testified of him, how can we then say that it must be that the world was built in six days, does this testify of Christ? No! But the idea that God created the world so that he could be the Emmanuel does.

Moses testified that The creation took so many days. Face it.

A traditional understanding is that was the longest day of the year and Joshua took advantage of his knowledge of science to impress the people. This was to demonstrate that Joshua had the same power Elijah had. This is the same as saying the Church has the same power that Christ had when He was here on Earth.

I suppose AV1611VET could help someone understand the wilder shores of fundamentalist literalist dispensensationalist beliefs, although I can't imagine anyone being very interested in that in anything but a "you'll never guess what he's saying now" kind of way.
