So who did you vote for in the general election and why? Was it Obama, McCain, Bob Barr, Ralph Nader, another third party candidate, the "lesser of two evils?'

I'm a Porgressive Conservative Independent (if that makes any sense to you), so chosing a candidate was quite difficult. I've always bee a major Ron Paul support, not that I agree with him in every respect... but he was hope. I voted for Obama after a lot of consideration. I'm happy I did. Will he be the best President? Maybe not. But he represents a great departure from the corrupt policies of the "Religious Right" that has been in control for eight long years. It's time for a new era of politics that are less about party values but about what can be done for the betterment of society. I don't know if Obama can do that, but he is a start in the right direction.

I voted for McCain because I feel he represents the Christian platform a lot better than Obama does. The one that did it is Obama's 'Pro-Choice' stance.

I voted for John McCain because I trusted him more with national security which is my deciding factor in who I voted for. I also did not agree with Obama with anything.

Obama. Like others have said, because I agreed more. Although I will say it would have been a tougher decision if McCain had stuck to his guns concerning moderate voters and not trying to win over the farther right members of the Republican party later in the campaign. I also had zero faith in Palin, whereas I felt Biden was a solid choice for VP.
