The heat!

I don't know about anyone else but this heat isn't easy on me today.

I went to a friend's wedding and even in the church with air conditioning, we couldn't stay for the reception. I was just too hot, uncomfortable, dizzy, it's horrible. Then we get outside to go home and the humidity had gone way up!

I think I'm hiding in my home with the AC on and in as little cloths as I can get away with until I absolutly have to leave.

I hear ya!!!

Going through pregnancy in the summer can be tough. I'm lucky to have air conditioning and I can hardly leave the house cause I get so hot. I was over at a friends the other night for dinner and had to cut things short. I couldn't wait to get into the air conditioned car and then back home. I was sitting there literally sweating and getting dizzy.

I can't wait to have my baby and then enjoy the fall this year..

I thought I was going to die literally yesterday.I had to go to a birthday party outside for 3 hours.
I have been staying in the air conditioning from 11-4 pm then I get out.

The heat hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be so far. When I was pregnant with my daughter she was due at the end of January and I remember being soooooo hot. It was in the 80s the day we brought her home so I thought for sure I was gonna die this summer being so heavily pregnant. I'm now 33 weeks and thankfully it's been cooler than normal, only about in the 90s in the shade. Of course I still have to go through the whole of August which is usually hotter than July but it's also usually well into the 100s right now even in July. I'm praying that it stays cooler than usual cos I can't imagine being 8 months pregnant in our usual 110-120 degree heat!

Today was 114 here in my little part of IL!

My BIL's wedding is August 19th. They planned to have the reception outside, thank God they came to their sense and are having it in a place with AC.

Whew - this is one bit I'm NOT looking forward to! I'm usually fine with heat... but pregnancy makes me majorly heat-prone. I think we'll try to find a house with air-con or a pool On the bright side... won't have to worry much about keeping bub cool for a couple of months after s/he's born.
