I watch you run away
All grown up ready to play
Escaping from My Kingdom
Ready to enjoy your freedom
Dropping your tiara of light
My little princess slips into the night
With open arms the darkness envelops
Once again the photograph develops
At the table of pleasure you feast
All-you-can-eat buffet provided by the beast
Little princess starts to walk away
Beast stops and demands his pay
With nothing to offer he takes her soul
To repay the debt he was owed
In horror she realizes she is no longer free
As she is chained and bound to an unknown destiny
Beast places her on the buffet for others to use
She is covered with shame, guilt and abuse
Lost forever the innocence of the Kingdom
Beast taunts with images of what she has become
Beast offers to set her free
as little princess begs for mercy
Her only hope is to take her life
Beast hungrily hands her the knife
Afraid to live afraid to die
Little princess begins to cry
Intercessor feels the heart of his King
And within himself a burden and stirring
Away from the light and into the dark
The cries of a child are Intercessor's mark
Surrounded by darkness protected by light
Intercessor begins to fight
No one notices no one cares
Calm and quiet are his prayers
He fights for those who are lost and bound
His words like seeds fall to the ground
Watered by tears the truth does grow
Darkness retreats as the Light does glow
Intercessor finds little princess on a garbage heap
Battered and broken and feeling so cheap
Intercessor tells of forgiveness and mercy
Of a love so pure it heals instantly
But ashamed and unable to go back home
Little princess walks away to endlessly roam
She hears the beast's roar
Fiery darts overhead soar
She turns to see Intercessor valiantly fight
Little princess in the distance sees a small beam of light
"Run to the Light your Father awaits
To go back home it is never too late"
Little princess begins to run
To a light that far outshines the sun
Closer to home than she had ever been
Since her ill-fated trip into the land of sin
With strength renewed her faith takes wings
Like an eagle she rises above death's sting
Father comes running tears streaming down His face
Joy fills His heart as they embrace
No more darkness no more night
Little princess now walks in the Light
An angel binds his wounds as Intercessor looks
Thankful for a love that does not keep books
But allows time to heal and then to employ
In ministry to others that the beast tries to destroy
Recalling his past and the scars of sin
Intercessor is thankful to have been used once again
Those forgiven much have much to give
For they know truly how to abundantly live
