Peace in Christ.

Today, there are still spiritual “Galatians”….of which the word is from the Greek noun γαλα (gala) meaning “milk”.

These are Christians who are “babes” in Christ who still continue to need of “milk” and not of strong meat….the meat of the Word of Truth.

They continue to still need to be taught the first principles of the oracles of God by someone else rather than ever reaching the time to be teachers.

They are forever baby Christians….never growing up in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus.

Heb 5:12-14 KJV
(12) For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
(13) For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
(14) But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and ev
il.

They are easily seduced by false prophets who come preaching “another Jesus” (aka a false Christ or “antichrist”) and who show forth their great “signs” in the eyes of the deceived and speak great wonders in the ears of those who only hear what they want to hear (having itching ears).

Mat 24:23-24 KJV
(23) Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.

(24) For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

This is why Paul addresses the spiritual “Galatians” today….the foolish “Galatians” ….babes in Christ today….who are easily “bewitched” (fascinated) by the signs that false prophets show forth in their literal vision.

What great signs are the false prophets using today to “bewitch” milk-fed-only infant Christians? What great sign even can deceive the very elect (if possible)?

Their great signs are the showing forth a picture of the death of Jesu in front of the literal eyes of us…. a visible portraying of Jesus Christ being crucified….that is, literal water baptism which was a part of the “gospel of the circumcision”….which was aimed exclusively towards the 1st century Jews who died to the external requirements of the Law…. rather than the gospel of the uncircumcision…which is aimed at the gentiles.

Gal 3:1-3 KJV
(1) O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?

As gentiles, we hear and believe and receive the Spirit from God. Do we now then go and get literally water baptized….being made complete by the flesh?
What God has cleansed by the giving of His Spirit to us when we hear and believe, let no man call “unclean” by having them go and get literal water baptized.

(2) This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
(3) Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

The gospel of the circumcision was to hear and repent and be water baptized and THEN they shall receive the Holy Spirit.

Act 2:38 KJV
(38) Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

In Galatians, we learn that Paul was upset with Peter.

Not only did Peter fear those of the circumcision (those that were taught the gospel of the circumcision) but also he had compelled the gentiles to live as the Jews.

Gal 2:11-14 KJV
(11) But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed.
(12) For before that certain came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing them which were of the circumcision.
(13) And the other Jews dissembled likewise with him; insomuch that Barnabas also was carried away with their dissimulation.
(14) But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before them all, If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?

Peter had did this (who realized his mistake later) by commanding the first gentiles to be literal water baptized AFTER the receiving of the Holy Spirit. We are not made perfect by the flesh AFTER the receiving of His Spirit.

Act 10:43-48 KJV
(43) To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.
(44) While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.

See how they of the “circumcision” was there….and Peter had feared them at the time.

(45) And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.
(46) For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,

It was Paul who did not come to preach literal water baptism.

(47) Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?
(48) And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

Christ did not send Paul to water baptize but to preach the gospel….and at the hearing of faith do we receive the Holy Spirit.

1Co 1:17 KJV
(17) For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.

The book of Galatians is NOT about literal circumcision but about the gospel of the circumcision (to be literally water baptized). This “great sign” is being used by those who want to bring us into the yoke of bondage….to the keeping of their handwritings of ordinances.

Gal 5:1-2 KJV
(1) Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

Paul is using the term “circumcised” in Galatians as code for receiving the gospel of the circumcision by gentiles (to be literally water baptized by them) rather than actually being circumcised.

The false prophets ...the false brethern....seek to bring you into their yoke of bondage and that entry into it is via their showing of “great signs” in front of our eyes of literal water baptism that does not profit us if we succumb to being baptized by them.

(2) Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.

The “great signs” of false prophets that are being shown are so powerful that it deceives a lot of people who see them.

slicing and dicing the NT into "Gospel to Jews vs Gospel to gentiles" does not survive Gal 1:6-9 "There is only ONE gospel" and that Gospel "was preached to Abraham" Gal 3:8.

Heb 4:1-2 "The Gospel was preached to US - just as it was to THEM also" speaking of NT saints vs OT saints.

Instead of "one NT gospel to Jews and another NT Gospel to Gentiles" in the NT - what we really have is Eph 2 -

Gal 3:26 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Acts 15:7 And when there had been much dispute, Peter rose up and said to them: “Men and brethren, you know that a good while ago God chose among us, that by my mouth the Gentiles should hear the word of the gospel and believe. 8 So God, who knows the heart, acknowledged them by giving them the Holy Spirit, just as He did to us, 9 and made no distinction between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith
