I had at least the honesty to set aside the concept of a globe earth to investigate whether it could actually be flat. It took me a few years to do that. I was willing to accept it is flat if the evidence pointed to it.

But no evidence pointed to it. None.

If you’re stuck in the “I’ll never accept” mode, then you’re the one who is ignoring reality.

If you’re not, then you will make the effort to understand why the sun going down below the horizon while maintaining its size completely contradicts flat earth claims on two counts - going below the horizon and maintaining its size.

Explain perspective please. How is it that the sun goes down below the horizon when it allegedly doesn’t?

And how does it maintain its size when it allegedly doesn’t?

And why does it appear to be half-set with the top half maintaining its size and the bottom half completely obscured by the horizon?

And why is it not constantly getting smaller after midday until it disappears?

If your answer to these questions is just “perspective” then you haven’t clue what you are talking about!

If you knew anything about perspective you would know that it’s perspective that would cause the sun to diminish in size as it moved away from you. This is easily demonstrated by watching any moving object moving away from you. It gets smaller.

Flat earth claims are that the sun moves away getting smaller until it’s just a point of light. That doesn’t happen. It’s a lie.

Does the earth literally rejoice? How? Does the sea literally roar? How? Does the filed literally rejoice? How?

The world is firmly established and it will not move because the Lord reigns. This is in addition to my previous post.

No you don’t. If you did you would be able to give an explanation of how perspective is doing this.

All that I see you doing is repeating something you have heard from other flat earthers who also haven’t given any explanation as to why perspective causes the sun to go below the horizon while maintains its size when it supposedly isn’t doing either.

I have challenged you on this before and you haven’t been able to answer. And you’re still not able to answer.

How does the sun go down below the horizon while maintaining its size when it’s supposed to be rotating around the sky until it becomes a point of light?

Where are all the in-between stages? Such as when it’s three quarters the size? Or half the size? Or a quarter the size? Or any size between full size and a point of light?

Well you don't seem to have understood that Asaph, and others, were praising God - singing a hymn/prayer of praise, which uses poetic language and not literal, scientific detail. (These verses are the same as the first half of Psalm 105, by the way.)
The earth IS stable. As I've said before, it does not go drifting off over the universe, getting either so close to the sun that it burns up, or so far away that we all freeze to death. Yet the earth clearly moves - even you have acknowledged that we have earthquakes.

You don't seem to understand that because you insist on taking these, and other, verses of the Bible literally, you have dismissed all scientists, eye witnesses etc, as "liars". Just dismiss everything they say; what do they, the experts, know? And never mind that some of them are Christians - indeed, they may have even become Christians because their work led them to conclude that there has to be a Creator. Just dismiss them as Freemasons, liars, people who are "paid to say what they say" or who say it for fear of being beaten up.
It's easier to do all of that than to think, ask sensible questions, try to reason and learn something.

The sun is hottest when it is directly over head showing that the sun is a flat parallel disk moving over and above the earth. Because as one is moved away from the center of the disk the temperature becomes less as will the light.

If the sun was a flat parallel disk when directly overhead, then it would become a flattened ellipse a little after sunrise and a little before sunset. It would appear to change in both size and shape as it passed from East to West.
Since the sun remains a constant sized circle as it goes from dawn to dusk, it completely falsifies your claim.

What do you all think that means? Nothing in 'outer-space' is hid from the heat of the sun, or nothing under the sky is hid from its heat? Or was the inspired psalmist somehow wrong?

What do think the Prophet Isaiah means when he says "the mountains and the hills before you shall break forth into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands"? Do mountains have mouths and lungs to sing and do trees have hands, or is the inspired prophet somehow wrong?

Because the sun moves over the earth in a somewhat circular path and also either moving to the Tropic of Cancer arctic side of the equator or to the Tropic of Capricorn Antarctica side of the equator. That is why we have summer, fall, winter and spring and back to summer. That is also why southern states are hotter than states in the north.

Because once the sun reaches either tropic it begins its journey back to the other tropic.

So how do you get a 24 hour Sun in Antarctica during Summer with your flat earth model?
