I want to know whether you think that the things I've read in his autobiography were lies?
Did he lie about parachuting out of the rocket, landing in the ocean and feeling sick?
Did he lie that a lifeboat crew came to pick them up?
Did he lie about them having to go to a contamination unit, because there was a risk of infection, thereby spending even more time away from his family?
He later writes about depression and battling with alcoholism; did he deliberately make that up in order to deceive people?
There are a lot of names, technical and personal details in his book; did he lie about all of them? If we contacted any of the people he mentioned, would they support him in his lie? What about his children; are you telling me that they would have, at that young age, have lied about their father?

These are the kind of questions you need to consider - saying "all astronauts lied" is not good enough. It means zilch unless you can back it up.

The ridiculous thing is that @Apple Sky has posted pictures of various things and said "every picture tells a story" or that a picture is "good enough" as evidence. These pictures have probably been made, somehow, on a computer, yet they still count in her book.
Yet real photographs, taken by eyewitnesses, have been dismissed as fakes.

I genuinely feel sorry for @Apple Sky as she really must have lost her anchor when her husband passed away. She is descending into true troll behaviour now. I guess it is one way to pass the time, but it is a shame because outside of these nutjob conspiracy subjects I'm sure she is a lovely person, but this obsession of hers really brings out a dark side. More evidence that flat earth is demonic.

No he did not lie about all of the above, the only thing Buzz & his buddies lied about was going to the moon and walking upon it, it was all staged.
I find it strange that Buzz & Duke both suffered addictions, I feel sorry for these supposed astronauts as the pressure of having to lie to the whole world must have been very taxing.

@Apple Sky You have said that if a person really looked into flat earth they would know it’s not nonsense. And I have told you that after a number of years of really looking into it I am absolutely certain that it is nonsense.

Not only that, but after nearly two years of reading & answering your posts, I can say that it would be utterly foolish for a Christian to believe a word you say on the matter.

This is because your posts have been filled with a mix of videos and quotes by an occultist, a God-mocker, myths & legends, new ageism, statements & claims with absolutely no evidence, admissions of not understanding basic physics, contradictory statements, various Bible verses obviously taken out of context, misquoting an astronaut, denouncing of eyewitness testimonies of genuine Christians, unwarranted accusations against genuine Christians, ridiculing other posts when people have tried to explain various matters to you, and defending indefensible claims made by Dean Odle and Rob Skiba to the point of almost deifying the men.

There’s probably a number of other things I could add in, but even the above is enough for anybody who is really looking into flat earth to be convinced that it must be nonsense. If that’s the level of your “evidence” then there is no evidence.

This Christmas I pray and hope for you to really listen to the Lord, because I have no doubt He is speaking to you. You’re just not hearing Him because you’ve become so convinced that He has led you to flat earth. But how could He have when you listen to occultists and God-mockers, myths and legends for support of your claims?

This is not how God leads. He leads you through proper study of His Word so that you get to know Him on a deeper level daily. His Word is not about His creation, it is about Him and His provision of salvation for us. It is about His faithfulness to those who love Him. It’s not to be used to understand His creation, it’s about coming to understand more about Him.

If people want to understand more about His creation, He has given us enquiring minds, the language of maths, the laws of physics and such to come to a deeper appreciation that we can never replicate what He has done and is doing. Learning about His infinite-to-the-human-mind universe is meant to humble mankind before an almighty, all-knowing God and to want to know Him more. And that should bring us into even deeper study of His Word.

But flat earth is not complex. It’s simplistic and therefore limiting God to nothing more than a trinket inventor. If you can understand His universe, then it isn’t His universe. If you find it simple and easy to understand then you haven’t grasped the reality.

The reality is the universe isn’t simple. It is extremely complex, so much so that you will never grasp or understand it. Nobody can.

So go back to Scripture. Learn about Him. Come into a deeper relationship with Him. Drop the conspiracy theories, drop the occultists and God-mockers, drop the myths and legends. Study His Word instead. Really really study it. It may seem like hard work. But the rewards are beyond anything you can even think of. The rewards are about getting to know Him more and more daily.

Sorry for the long post, but I felt I had to say this to you. And may you have a truly blessed Christmas. I’m aware that this time will especially difficult for you. I pray that you will know God’s love through the pain and that He will comfort you as only He can.

Another statement without providing the evidence. (And it's no good saying that you posted evidence back in Post such-and-such, as new people joining the forums cannot be expected to trawl back through a huge thread like this.) There is plenty of evidence that they did go, including eye-witness testimony, films and photos, the reflectors left on the moon and still in use, and more. To counter that evidence, you have to imagine that thousands upon thousands of people, including some Christians, are deliberately lying, that the multitude of films and photos taken were somehow faked (no CGI in those days) and that the reflectors are not there, despite the fact that they are being used today.

Tell me, how do think they knew what the earth might have looked like from space?
The first moon landing was in 1969. There may have been some basic computers around then but I doubt they would have been capable of producing a photo. So how did they have photographs in 1969 if no one had ever been there?
And when we did get computers capable of making images, why did it produce an image of the earth as a sphere? Why not as a flat disc surrounded by ice? If other people apparently agree with Flat Earth and your description of what it looks like, why not programme a computer to make an image of a flat earth and say, "this is what the astronauts saw"?
If no one has ever been to the moon, no one would ever be able to contradict them.

How?
They forced him to do months of training and preparation for an illusion?
They forced him to go into hiding for weeks, missing his wife and children, birthdays and other family events?
They altered the dials on the rocket to make it look as though it had flown for thousands of miles?

Not strange at all, really. Three men went into space as unknown astronauts - they returned to earth as heroes.
They went on a space mission - which others had attempted and died. They were successful.
They returned to earth and did a worldwide tour - everyone wanted to see, and talk to, the men who'd been to the moon. I'm reading that bit in Buzz's book at the moment. His family were glad that he was back home and wanted to spend time with him. The astronauts were obliged to give interviews, have photos taken, sign hundreds of autographs etc etc. Buzz and his wife had a huge row with the word "divorce" being mentioned. She also screamed at him to prove that he loved his children.

Why on earth would anyone lie about/make up those sorts of details? Why would they risk losing their family life, and their own health, for an "illusion"?

I feel sorry for these supposed astronauts as the pressure of having to lie to the whole world must have been very taxing.

They didn't lie about anything.
What was taxing were the tours, public speaking engagements, photographs and time spent away from their families.
What was pressurising was having no time to themselves to process what had just happened.
Apparently both Neil and Michael had said they would be prepared to go on future missions. Buzz just wanted to stay at home and get involved in the research programmes. But those comments were not made with their families and after much time to think about it - they were made after someone stuck a microphone/camera in their face.

The images used are from a camera with a narrow field of view on a satellite with a relatively low orbit. I was a teenager when the astronauts went to the moon. We had a pretty good television at the time, but it wasn’t half as nice as televisions today. Animations made using models were interlaced with the real photographs. The word “animation” was usually somewhere on the screen to show the difference. My father would announce it from time to time as we watched to highlight the fact. Maybe the flat earth people got confused.

For me something strange happened yesterday which I hope someone can explain to me.

Yesterday I saw the sunset over the ocean, usually I never see the sunset, as where I live the sunset is usually blocked by the mountain to the side of me, but yesterday I saw it set over the ocean & what a sight it was, it was glorious.

So my question is, how has the sun manged to set in different place ?
