Hi there Skybaby!

I've not had much chance to come and say hello lately, but managed to fit in a couple of minutes this evening. I thought I'd mention something quite important - particularly for us Glasgow folk... Our church is about to start an annual week of summer outreach events. One of the big events planned was a series of free activities for the youth and community on the south side of Glasgow, for which we had booked a new sporting complex. Glasgow City Council have recently cancelled our booking on the basis that it cannot be let to a Christian organisation. We need to pray for our countries decision makers at this time.

Whoa - that is appalling!!! I'm sorry, but that is just plain wrong, and some jobsworth somewhere has got his facts tangled - have you had any further information from anyone at the Council - I hope you have taken this matter further? This could eventually have repercussions for my church, if this is the path they want to go down, as we meet in a secondary school, so obviously our let is with GCC

I'm not doing very much. Working mostly and also trying to sort out a provisional licence so I can learn to drive Going up to Perth to help my friend move house but thats about it really. Should really go to church at some point too since I havent been since June :o Too busy working on Sundays

I've always wondered why, as a martian, his outfit looked like that of a roman centurion. He'd obviously had his eye on our planet for a while. And how come Bugs Bunny could breath in outerspace without a proper helmet?

According to Wikipedia "Marvin wears a parody of a Roman soldier's uniform (a reference to Mars being the Roman god of war)..." I think he wanted to destroy Earth because it obscured his view of Venus.

It is obvious that Bugs is a rather unconventional Bunny. Perhaps, in addition to speaking, walking upright and appearing on postage stamps, Bugs has adapted to breathe in Mars' primarily carbon dioxide atmosphere.

Riiiiight! That convention is still on you know, you're wasted around here.

laker who i believe are currently and unjustly unsigned at present gave the population of kelvin park an impromptu live performance this afternoon, did anyone see them ? i thought they were very good and are playing the newly opened abc in sauchiehall street on september 9th, unfortunately a man and lady from the council asked them to move on after 3 songs
