The Cafe Scientifique talks are usually very good - not too stuffy and quite informal. Should be good in Borders - they used to be held in Oran Mor, I think.

I was going to go along to one last year...I think the topic was evolution (although I may be getting myself mixed up with that talk at the Tron, I forget...) but I didn't have the time. I think, at that point, the talk was being held somewhere on Byers Road. Borders should be alright I guess, their cafe is a bit of an odd shape if I remember rightly though, which might make it a bit odd.

tomorrow at Borders on Buchanan Street at 1930. You can always go read a book if you get bored.

On a different tangent, I think the Holiday Inn on Renfrew street needs to make it's signposts a little clearer. I was watching some poor soul trying to get their suitcase through the revolving door of the Di Maggios Pronto beside it the other night and wondering where exactly he was going.

Had I known he was looking for the Holiday Inn initially then I may have intervened...I did figure he might have just been very hungry.
