  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Has anyone seen this show on Animal Planet? I think it is an intresting show. The only thing They did not take into account is the sun. I mean 200 million years in the future the sun would most likely be a giant red sun. Mercury and venus would have been consumed by the sun and the heat from the sun would most likely killed all forms of life on Earth.

Oh, and equally outrageous, lol, their show Dragons Alive. I have a 6 year old who is now firmly convinced that flying dragons actually existed and refuses to listen to me when I tell her they're only pretend..."No, Mommy, they're really real! I saw the dragon bones!" Way to go, Animal Planet!

Does the show actually claim that dragons once existed?

Well, they state that it's meant to be fantasy and they show how they came up with the concepts of the different dragons...BUT the whole show is set up to sound like it's real...they show "fossils" of dragons and tell about the regions of the world in which they were 'found'...they include computer generated animations, and they include the different "breeds" of dragons...they even went so far as to show the way dragons mate and care for their young.

I was a tad disappointed with Animal Planet on that one. My daughter and I watched the whole show. She totally ignored the part about it being fantasy and only seemed to hear the part about these "real" facts about flying, fire-breathing dragons. I'm sure she wasn't the only 6 year old who is convinced it was real, either.

Really. I thought of Animal Planet as being educational-especially for young children. Showing fantasy programs like that doens't seem very educational.

Thats why we need to MIGRATE, we need to pool our universal human intellect, resources and finances and work to find ways to ensure the human race continues to flourish, MARS is a stepping stone, it is a experiment, once we start to go from one plante to teh next with new sceintific advancements we can leap frog all throughout the universe.

Think that show was wild..nationl geographic is airing a show called E.T. on monday
with "fantasy" creatures and what if's....when networks show these types of programs they should include disclaimers in the beggining at the end of every commercial break as well as the end...these shows are watched by people of all ages and varying degrees of intellegence. it can do more harm then good if people arent made aware that it is not yet real..or it is at this time fantasy..

Thankfully we have plenty of time to prepare for such a voyage, although the problem is that such a trek will require so many resources that by the time the technology is there, we may not have the resources. That's why we need to start now.
