Does anyone know where the flat earth idea originated? I mean in modern thinking?

Most recently a few years ago when people started measuring the curve of the earth and found none.

Flat Earthers: You argue that the Bible says the earth is flat. The Bible also says the earth has corners. Where exactly are those corners geographically?

I think the four corners of the earth refer to the four directions - north, south, west and east.

About the earth being a globe the bible says this:

Isaiah 40:22, Job 26:7

I understand the reference to approximating the circumference of the Earth around 240 BC.

And you also understand that the results were inconclusive as they are also identical to what one would see on a flat earth with a much closer sun? What makes it so funny to me is that usually those who try to reach back to that point for evidence of anything show a particular level of ignorance on the topic.

And yet it remains a favorite go-to point, just like the stupid 'ships over the horizon' thing.

You don't have to believe some 'stupid' flat-earther that the experiment was garbage. I know a lot of people put stock in the words of Neil DeGrasse Tyson on these things. Here he is saying the same thing about it being inconclusive.

I don't think anyone is relying upon Eratosthenes as an authority here. It's just funny that people in the 21st century are denying things that were known (or at least suspected) in the 2nd century BC.

Wouldn't your second sentence indicate a reliance on Eratosthenes?

And that's kind of the point, they didn't know because the experiment was inconclusive at best. Shoddy is a better word.

I suspect that the corners are directly over the pillars.

Is that what he says? He just seems to be in the vid to refer to the experiment then it cuts into the flat earth perspective that makes up the rest of the vid.

He's talking the entire video. It's all him with the exception of the commentary words on the screen. So, yes, that's what he says.
