There are many folks today, who are the forgotten few as regards being single.
It seems that we dont have that "instant appeal" as regards looks. At school I was usally the near last to be picked for sports, and when I went to dances no one ever picked me lol I was the one who had to almost beg someone to dance with me! Im not griping here, just building the picture.
But what encourages me is that the Forgotten or seemingly less blest few always turn out to be the very blest in Gods eyes. You see Abraham, Elizebeth, Hannah, Joseph, and others were the forgotten few. Everyone else was having their prayers answered and God seemed to really care about them, and answered prayers at a drop of a hat. But these folks prayed with deep crying and tears may be for years, through so much sorrow and trial. Isaac to, well he had to wait till he was 40 beofre his dad decided to get a move on and arrange a wife for him. How he must have felt one the forgotten few.
But the point I am getting at is that the seemingingly forgotten few always become the mightly blest few, why? Coz there waiting caused suffering, suffering produced prayer, prayer moulded their character and God used them in a greater way than there neigbours who had there needs met far earlier.
Good looking men and woman stand a far greater chance humanly of finding a spouse very early on, but to find a man or woman of charcter will not be so easily found. I once though I needed to find someone attractive but now I see their character as a far greater and important issue.
Let me meet one of the Forgotten ones, for I know that with her character will be beauty and dedication far beyond some of those who are attractive at one glance.
I am so glad that Go didnt make me a good looker, because I probably would have been married now, and my life no where near the close walk with God.
