People are welcome to celebrate whatever they want, the shadows, as scripture calls them.
But to me, as children of Abraham, who did not have the feasts, we have something better, and don't need to look to feasts, instead we are to know the risen Christ, so the feasts to me are often compensatory in nature when they are promoted, because those in the messianic movement stress judaism for the churches.
Paul in Galatians said that he thought he wasted his time on them, when they started to observe the jewish calendar, becaus ehe understood in 5:9, that leaven creeps in.
Gal 4:10 You observe days and months and seasons and years! 11 I am afraid I may have labored over you in vain.
Paul used Abraham to ward of these things from the churches.
I had to take the long way out, but I got out. From the Messianic faith, I went to Deism then to atheism. It was only my aunt and Grandmother's constant love and prayers (in spite of everyone else in my family, especially those not religious, rejecting me due to my atheism) that I realized just what the love of Christ was like (unconditional). It was then that God drew me back to Himself through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Paul talking about the passover feast. What is paul saying here though? Whats your take on it frogster?
And also what about communion or what is referred to as the lords supper? If we can observe that ritual then why not passover too? Isnt it similar anyway? Especially if its observed to remember Christ and His blood, the blood which is over our doorway protecting us in the same way it did for the Jews in Egypt?
1Co 5:7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:
1Co 5:8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

were the jewish feasts, food laws, or sabbath, ever given to gentiles?
Because, we just might learn something about the character and heart of God.I said people are wlecome to celebrate whatever, but the there is a reason, it is called messianic judaism.
the feasts, the sabbath, food restrictions etc, were never given to the gentiles, so why add them now?

(Emphasis is mine, as are the comments in red italics)Colossians 2: 13 You were dead through your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh. [Note, this means that Paul is speaking to Gentiles] He made you alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses; 14 having blotted out the bond written in ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us: and he has taken it out that way, nailing it to the cross; [The Law of Moses is nailed to the cross for us Christians!] 15 having stripped the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it. 16 Let no man therefore judge you in eating, or in drinking, or with respect to a feast day or a new moon or a Sabbath day, 17 which are a shadow of the things to come; [In other words, dietary laws and the observances of festivals and feast days is just not that important!] but the body is Christ's. (World English Bible)
Who said anything about judging you? Some of us want to learn all of the lessons God has for us, and have learned a lot from the Biblical holy days. If you have other lessons to learn, or, as I suspect of some here, prefer ignorance, that is truly between you and God. As an example, I have issues with the traditional hymns because they tie back to my pre-Jesus, religious days. It doesn't make the hymns bad, but for me they are a tie to my excuses for not coming to Jesus sooner. Maybe the day will come when God will have you revisit the Biblical holidays, and maybe not--that is not for us to judge, just as it is not the place of anyone here to project motives to us for admiring the lessons of the "feasts."(Emphasis is mine, as are the comments in red italics)
Don't forget pepperoni and sausage pizza and/or hot dogs! Lol. I choose to believe Jesus Christ who said that it isn't what guys into the body that makes us unclean, but rather what comes out of our hearts.
