  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

the last thing you need in your life is to have a man that abused you in your life in any way...especially now that your picking up the pieces of his stupidity done against you.

you'll find your way to healing and forgiveness, but right now, get him out of your life in every possible way, and make sure you keep all those areas closed off from him.

i hope the best for you and i'll send a prayer for you.

I know it has been said but keep your distance from this guy. Don't text him or anything else... get your number changed if you have to. That's a creep!!! There is no reasoning with him... he had his chance and he blew it. Nuff said.

It seems to me that you're pretty hard on yourself.

Noone is perfect, and many times you don't know how many mistakes someone has made before they learned there lessions.

It would be good if you found a church to get plugged in to, but it doesnt mean that something is wrong with you. My old church was a great mixture of young and old people, and was a great place for hurting people because of their experience and tenderness.

I say something is wrong with me because many times I put up a wall or I am always angry. That's why I got into boxing and martial arts when I was a kid. sometimes I would have so much anger inside and i didn't know how to deal with it so when I started taking self defense classes when I was mad I would just hit a bag and think about what made me angry

That doesn't sound like a bad way of dealing with it, but have you ever tried to get to the root of what makes you angry all the time? I'm assuming you're trying, but sometimes we think we've found it, when something else was really making us angry.

I've felt that way before, so you're not alone. I'm not a big fan of over-analyzing, but sometimes you need to get to the heart of the matter.
