Just noticed this, I thought at quick glance the stars were equally divided, perhaps it was that big blue equal sign or the fact that this picture is on an angle, but I just looked again and even concentrating on this you have to count to make sure.
The top half of the 'e' has SIX stars and the bottom half has FIVE stars and there is one between the dashes of the equal sign.
Looked at another way there is
Four, two, one, one, four ,
They really aren't distributed equally. There are two single stars that if deducted from 12 would mean there would be ten.
Just musing before coffee.
I found one that is facing forward.
This is the EURO sign, the sign for the EU's money. The twelve stars here represent the twelve countries currencies it has replaced. I have not been able to find out how this coincides with the twelve stars on the flag which was designed quite some time ago.
And now I notice there are only two stars that are touching the E in two places instead of one like the other 10.
Strange, this one I found has only 10
And this one where they don't
have to be attached is odd as well
It looks like a 'halo' of ten star, slanting to the left with two stars that are not part of that 'orbit', the one within the 'e' on the topside of the = and there is one that is all the way outside on the bottom right.
