If people can get themselves to believe that someone once lived who could defy the laws of nature who knows what else they can get themselves to believe.
I am of the impression that atheists also want to have the faith to believe the truth, but they haven't yet figured out how to, that's why they subscribe to Christian websites.No one is asking you to give up your faith, you have spent a lifetime perfecting ways to believe it why give it up now?
If facing reality is being snotty then yes I and other atheists are snotty, if not being able to believe lies is being snotty then yes we are snotty.
You are trying to tell people who do not believe as you do the foolish things [to them] you believe and then you get upset when people do not agree with you, if you don't want to know the answer don't ask the question,
stay with people who agree with you then you will never be disappointed by someone telling you the truth again.
Your faith was designed to give you a nice warm feeling, if you step away from your faith and talk to people not of your faith the nice warm feeling might just start to get a little cold and you may get upset.
The only way your beliefs can remain true is if you stay with believers, they will keep telling you that what you believe is the truth because they want to believe it as much as you do, that is the whole idea of churches,
they keep the faithful full of faith.

I am here because creationism is holding back the US and millions of people are suffering because of it.
Admittedly creationism is also making millions of people laugh but I don't think the misfortune of others should be a source of amusement.

Belief in creation doesn't hold anyone back. It's listening to the siren song of modern education that is most damaging.
Show me a geneticist publishing in the field of comparative genomics that is using creationism. Show me a geneticist from that same field who could do their job without the theory of evolution.
The natural state of the universe is the absence of life. That makes earth a very unnatural place. Some might say it's downright supernatural.
I didn't cast aspersions on modern education per se, just the packaging it's wrapped in; the siren song that has caused so many personal shipwrecks.
