The OT appears to me to be replete with passages associating "north" with "danger & destruction"... Would consensus support that statement?

If so, is the very word "north" one which is "Biblically charged"... such that "fanatics" would petition "North Dakota" to change its name to "Upper Dakota" or some such ?

Is the association clear, consistent, and unambiguously obvious ?

No, it isn't.
When the prophets tell us an attack will come from the north, as the Gog/Magog one, then we know the origins of those armies.
But the next prophesied event will be triggered by an attack onto Israel by armies from all directions, as Psalms 83 and Micah 4:11-12 describes.
