Anyone here a fan of The Dresden Files series(Books , not the canceled TV show)? I picked it up over a year ago and I must say its the best Urban Fantasy out there that I have read.

I actually got clued into the Dresden Files
I like well written fiction that plays upon supernatural themes. It hasn't affected my
faith as christian as I have a solid theological and biblical foundation to stand upon, but
by golly I enjoy a good story, and the Dresden Files does such a thing in terms of
fiction in this genre.
I haven't read the books, so all I can say is;....Anyone here a fan of The Dresden Files series(Books , not the canceled TV show)? I picked it up over a year ago and I must say its the best Urban Fantasy out there that I have read.

I agree about Changes. I am glad to see there is a next Dresden novel due out next year. I was afraid just at the very end of changes that Butcher might be killing Harry off. Of course the title of the next novel looks to be ghost story so maybe he did.It was a blast. He is a very witty speaker. Looks just like every other nerd my age. He cut his hair and shaved his beard so he looks nothing like his book jacket photo now.
Changes was awesome. Best to date. He has the collected Dresden short stories coming out in November and it features a novella from Karrin's POV that takes place 45 minutes after Changes. And the next Dresden out next April.
At some comic-con he mentioned that he has enough story material for around 30 Dresden novels. As for Alera, he did mention that it would be cool to revisit it 300 years or so after Octavius' reign, but there is nothing in the works for now. He also mentioned that there may be some short stories featuring a detective team of a Canim and a Marat to explore those races a bit more, but personally I kind of doubt it.I agree about Changes. Did he say anything about another Alera series?
Thanks. Sounds like a line from The Outlaw Josey Wales. At some comic-con he mentioned that he has enough story material for around 30 Dresden novels. And to put your fears to rest, the first line of the next Dresden is: 'Dying is easy, it is living that is hard.'
