We are given this life to repent. In the afterlife, there is no repentance.

Only the pure of heart can see God. These are the Holy Ones.

Come Lord Jesus! Maranatha! Come and heal us. Lead us unto true repentance so that we may share the joys of heaven with You unto ages of ages. Amen.

Dear readers:

Re: Chapter 11 of the Didache

This chapter, if known widely throughout Christianity would really put those tele-evangelizers out of business.

The warning given in Chapter 11 is quite clear. We will know if a prophet or teacher is genuine by their lives and their consistent preaching of the truth that has been handed down by Christ and the Apostles. Anyone who deviates from these teachings is a false prophet.

However, we are not to judge these prophets and teachers who come in the name of the Lord, but let God judge them. Moreover, we are to respect them as the Lord.

This is the basis of the alter Christus teaching. The Priest is Christ to us as he ministers in the Lord's name.

There is one passage from Chapter 11 that is somewhat confusing:

And every prophet who orders a meal in the Spirit does not eat it, unless he is indeed a false prophet.

I'm going to check with my priest -- so I will share with you tomorrow.

If you have any additional quotes or comments, please feel free to post here.

Your sister in Christ,
Elizabeth
