I have read the whole Bible multiple times. Read Revelations and t then me Jesus is all about peace.

I am sorry to hear that but not surprised. The Pharisees rejected their Savior because they held the O.T. in high esteem and the same thing is happening today.

Perhaps the difference is best seen in not demeaning the people who have been deceived, but in revealing the deception inherent in the system (government and military),
so people can learn why things happen for real, and start to learn and to know the truth?

I've already discussed this with you.

The Holy Spirit operates more effectively in an environment of order, even if it is an oppressive order; Satan moves more easily under the cover of chaos. That's why we see the Church growing in places like China and North Korea more quickly than it can grow in a place like South Sudan or Yemen.

Christians should never introduce chaos and rebellion, not even against an oppressive government. We are explicitly instructed to pray specifically for the freedom under those authorities to live our lives in quiet Godliness.

A government that allows that small thing, a government which merely leaves the Body of Christ free enough to operate is "good" enough for God's purpose.

That does not mean such a government is actually righteous in the sight of God. God still has plans to destroy it.

The examples we see in scripture are ancient Egypt and Babylon. Both were used by God like tissue paper, used and discarded.

In both cases, even though people of God may have operated within the government, they maintained their moral separation from the government. They never forgot that their real citizenship was in the nation of God, not the nations of men.

And they were never members of the militaries or police forces of those governments, which inevitably would have required them to kill other people of God.

I can see why they are angry. Their family members laid down their life for you, to keep your country free. Would you have rather all the men have simply watched Hitler take over during WW2? Unless men get up to defend their nation evil like that would have taken over.

Jesus took no issue with the centurion.

Does not sound like an issue was taken at self-defence

Good soldiers do this.

men don't always choose to go to war often they get drafted.

You realize soldiers don't only go to war they also provide disaster relief and carry out peacekeeping missions.

No. The "good soldiers" in the view of the soldiers and the leaders enlisting them is NOT this. Instead, the soldiers in hire are worse than "hired shepherds" who flee when the sheep are in danger from wild animals.

They don't care enough for the poor/ the people/ to try to stop the harm coming to the people from the other soldiers and the leaders!

(SOLDIERS are usually the unjust and the wicked OR they work for them)

Yes, they did listen to Moses and One greater than Moses has come and they refuse to listen.

The N.T. nowhere gives permission to kill or sit in judgment on your enemy. The problem arises when those living in a society where nationalism overrides good sense. The nationalistic mindset filters out everything the Bible says to the contrary, even when it is plain so that even a child could understand. And, if the plainness of the N.T. words aren’t enough then the exemplary life of Jesus, who said “follow Me,” should be adequate. And, if that is not enough, consider His Apostles, who all understood and followed Him; and, if that isn’t enough then we have 300 hundred years of documented evidence that support the concrete teaching of Jesus to “resist not the evil person” and to “turn the cheek.” All of the massive evidence ordering Christians to throw down their deadly weapons is ignored for a few opaque and incomplete N.T. verses that say nothing concrete or some O.T. verses that have been overridden by the N.T. (see Heb. 9:16-17 as an example).

God has instituted the armed forces to govern an unruly and unbelieving people. What the governments of this world do to keep the “peace” has nothing at all to do with the Citizens of Heaven. First and foremost, Christians have to be obedient to their King even though living in a foreign land. We obey the laws of the land as long as they do not require us to do or say something contrary to the laws of our homeland. It is no different with Americans living in another country. If that country requires that American to serve in their armed forces or to do something against American laws, and maybe even fight against America, we can not do that without becoming a traitor. (Remember John Walker Lindh, American Taliban?)

James says it very well; My friends, don’t sit in judgment against others! If you do, or if you condemn others, you are condemning God’s Law. And if you condemn the Law, you put yourself above the Law and refuse to obey either it or God who gave it. God is the only judge, who can both save or destroy us. What right then do you have to judge or condemn anyone?

We have no excuse for not understanding what God has told us. If Walker had said that he had misunderstood the law he would still be a traitor. We have no reason. God has gone to extreme measures to get His message to us and has even given His H.S. as a helper, so we will be without excuse.

Jesus said one of the reasons he came was to set captives free.

Remember there were more AWOLS in some single years in the 90's and 80's than during all wwi and wwii.

They went to Britain, Canada, Mexico, Central America, and even right back here to the USA, and for a few years the administration just left them alone - they did not want the bad truth / publicity to come out.

They went AWOL because we were KILLING the helpless (like in other wars) , NOT protecting them.

YES, they (and we) "HEARD" the propaganda (reasons given for going to war), but it was not true. Familiar? Yes. Not true. Correct - not true.

Not just servicemen are deceived. Most people have been deceived, just as also written in Scripture most people would be (and are) deceived.
