Any interpretatation of the "Seven Headed Beast" as meaning "Rome" or "Jerusalem" or the "Catholic Church" is rubbish. The Bible clearly says that the seven Heads are also seven Mountains, and seven Kings, five of whom are fallen, one of whom is, one of whom has not yet come, and one of whom has recovered from a mortal wound.
Rome and Jerusalem may be both situated on seven Hills, but to equate said Hills with Kings, much less equate them with five Kings who are fallen, one that is, one that is not yet come, and one that has recovered from a mortal wound is rediculous. Not to even mention the Beast that was and is not that is an eighth that is one of the seven, which in combination with the ten horns will destroy the harlot by fire. UTTER NONSENSE !!!! There is another interpretation that fits all of it perfectly.
