  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I think it's great.

Even better if it's driving some people up a wall.

My favorite comment was on Sam Bee's Full Frontal when she showed a video of someone saying they should create a new denomination for Tubman, like a $12 dollar bill. "Oh good, let's make the black woman worth exactly 3/5ths as much as the white guy!"

Do it better.

1. Replace every single white politician with a "social justice warrior" whether its an abolitionist, suffragist, or Civil Rights leader from the mid 20th century.

2. Grab some popcorn.

3. Grab some Mountain Dew Black Label

4. Try not to enjoy the tears too much.

5. TRY NOT TO!

Their tears are delicious.

I love it when you point out something to people and they don't want to admit that you were right so they just don't respond. a couple of weeks ago I pointed out that sanctuary cities are legal because of Scalia and the silence was deafening.

What is the citation to the Scalia ruling? I hadn't heard this (and ^_^)

It's happened so many times on this forum, that the examples are not even worth listing. I've noticed it happens a lot with Lord [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] supporters lately.

In was in the thread about Rubio saying that De Blasio was done if he was elected. I pointed out that sanctuary cities are legal as long as the cty doesn't actively interfer with federal LEOs and when I was told most people would say that was illegal I pointed out the anticomendeering doctrine.

WITH AND WITHOUT TRUMP RUNNING

Clinton has a much better chance of being president than she would have had with Trump not running or dropping out early. IMHO, Clinton would have a better chance against Cruz, the only candidate that Republicans dislike more than Trump.

However, if Trump had not run or bowed out early, Rubio or Kasich would have provided a very difficult opposing slate.

Most Democrats seem very confident now. We'll know a lot more after the convention. After all, we already know that voters are actually capable of voting for Trump with much better choices available.

I'm lifelong democrat here. Not actually very politically inclined, and probably more conservative in some ways. I guess I remain Democrat not because I think Democrats are so awesome, but because Republicans have always seemed like a crazy mixture of white, anglo-saxon protestant fundamentalists and sycophants of business interests, neither of which I care much about.

That's fine. I'm more or less the same, maybe a bit more liberal than you. I'm quite jaded and cynical towards the Democrats but I simply have no reason at all to vote for the Republican lineup and I doubt that's going to change any time soon.

Another one for the ignore list. It's a shame, but what else do you do when someone insults your character first and then talks about how they are the victim?

Edit: Make that two for the ignore list.

Wait until 2020. That's what the GOP Presidential hopefuls are doing.

It sounds good, but Warren is so much more powerful in the Senate. VP would be a step down for her -- she'd become invisible, as all VPs do. He could bring in some fresh blood like Nina Turner. That would give her the "experience" to run for Pres, too, down the road.

So predictable, the media is already announcing that Clinton has clinched the nomination and the CA primary is tomorrow. I've never seen such corruption.
