Can you imagine how happy a place Heaven is?
God singing over us.
Rejoicing every time a sinner repents.
I can't wait to get there.
Me too.I can't fathom it...but i sooooo look forward to it!!!![]()

Amen. What i think of is that how, in the New Testament, there's a verse that says that now we see through a glass darkly, but in heaven we will see very clearly, and also we'll see what was "hidden" from us.
It means to me, that all the "clouds" that "hover" over us and follow us, will vanish, and all oppressiveness and "heaviness of heart" will bve removed, and we will be truly free.

Amen.
Romans 8:18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. 19 For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; 21 because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. 23 Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body. 24 For we were saved in this hope, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one still hope for what he sees? 25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.
2 Corinthians 5:2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed with our habitation which is from heaven, 3 if indeed, having been clothed, we shall not be found naked. 4 For we who are in this tent groan, being burdened, not because we want to be unclothed, but further clothed, that mortality may be swallowed up by life. 5 Now He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the Spirit as a guarantee.
6 So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. 7 For we walk by faith, not by sight. 8 We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.
1 Corinthians 13:12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. What i think of is that how, in the New Testament, there's a verse that says that now we see through a glass darkly, but in heaven we will see very clearly, and also we'll see what was "hidden" from us.

I think Psalm 46: 'God is our refuge and strength...' is a great Scripture for the storms of life. Another great verse is: 'I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction' (Isaiah 48.10)![]()
My daughters and I were talking about this last night. How life can be hard sometimes bringing the unexpected, the sorrows and sufferings that are a part of living. Sometimes I want to give advice, all that I have learned so far, to give each one a formula and step by step instruction on how not to be crushed by the weight of the storm. How to keep their balance and maintain joy and peace in the midst of the swirling winds that sometimes come our way. Really, it's just as simple as resting in God's hands.
It is possible to have joy and peace in the storm and choose to find the beauty that surrounds you. The ability to rise above the storms of life is practiced before the storm hits. You prepare your heart and mind by practicing and walking in God's loving presence because that's where freedom comes from. Cultivating a relationship with Him and living through Him will be the boat needed during the flood.![]()

I agree.Psalm 23
23:1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
23:2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
23:3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Notice how in the first 3 verses David is talking about The Good Shepherd?
Then in verse 4 he changes. He is now in the dark times, it is time to stop talking about the LORD and start talking to Him.
Maybe if we spent more time talking to Him than we do about Him, maybe the dark times wouldn't seem so dark?
I am not saying we should spend less time talking about Him.
I am saying we should spend more time talking to Him.
After I posted the above on Psalm 23 I started meditating on it. In a 1/2 hour dog walk I almost finished the first half of the verse. When I meditate on a verse like that I examine each word. Here goes.
The LORD Not just any Lord, or one among many, but THE Lord. The one and only, He has no equal, none can compare. THE LORD is the greatest ever. There are none as wise as He.
Is When people start talking about various tenses, like aorist or perfect present, I get lost and start scratching my head. If you saw me, you would see I have no hair on the top of my head, like Captain Picard.
When I see "is" here I realize this is now, not was or will be at some future time. He is our Shepherd right now.
My He is my Shepherd. I don't focus on He is others Shepherd too. I used to focus on He is mine and I am His. After growing in the LORD some I have realized I am His and He is mine. The focus is more on Him and less on me. At some future point I will grow into, I am His and His desire is for me. Total focus will be on Him.
Shepherd I didn't get this far while walking, but I will share at least one thought.
Calling Him a Shepherd, means I am a sheep. Have you ever thought about how smart sheep are?
A smart sheep is an oxymoron, no such thing. Sheep are stupid. Of all the livestock animals sheep need the most guidance. They are just plain stupid. If left to his own devices, a sheep is very destructive.
Sheep can ruin good pasture if not guided. They will walk the same path until there are deep ruts.
Sheep will eat the grass, roots and all trying to fill there bellies.
But, if sheep are properly guided they can take an almost ruined land and make it good. But only with the guidance of a shepherd who knows what he is doing.
Verse 6 says that goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life.
One of the applications here is goodness and mercy are left in our wake.
That last paragraph, much of it comes from Philip Keller's "A Shepherd Looks at Psalm 23".
In verse 4 Moses explains what he means.Hi all....I was reading in Matthew how Jesus was being tempted and how He told the devil in the wilderness that 4:4 - jesus answered,"is written: man shall not live by bread alone , but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.'
And I went back to where it is written which is Deuteronomy 8:3 and this was moses addressing the israelites before his death as they were to enter into the promised land 8:3- He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your father's had known,to teach you that man does not live by bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD.
Hence my homest question. I've always equated what Jesus said to my spirituality and it being a teaching but then last night as I read moses speaking to the israelites it hit me was moses also speaking metaphorically to them to mean spiritual? But then manna was real wasnt it? What did moses mean when telling the Israelites that ? setting aside what Jesus meant and its spiritual implication in our lives but what did moses mean was the manna not real yet it was real? Honestly it has eaten my mind up really and I pray you get.my question and kindly explain from the old testament moses point of view please
ThNks I get that i read all through the whole chapter my question is the manna why did he say man shall not live by bread alone but by the word that cometh from the mouth of the LORD? And use the eating of manna? Why did he follow up with that statement? What does manna have to do with the word of the LORD? did it have any significance? I think I'm seeking for a theological than spiritual answerIn verse 4 Moses explains what he means.
Thy raiment waxed not old upon thee, neither did thy foot swell, these forty years.
God showed that He cared for them.
Through 40 years of walking, there cloths didn't get and there feet didn't swell.
This showed that He could be relied upon.
The lesson would be: Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you Matthew 6:33
