Has anyone read this book? I'm about three quarters through the book and I'm wondering of other's thoughts on this very controversial book. Interesting theory, but incredibly blasphemous. Any takers in here?

Now why do you think I didn't even bother buying the book?Suzannah said:In all, I thought it was a badly written book of FICTION.

I cant wait to read this. There are several controversial topics in the book, but as a whole it is an awesome work of fiction.
However, most art historians believe that Da Vincci did not try to prove or place these clues or hints in his art work.Marinville288 said:It's just like Buddhist and Muslims and all other non-Christian religions, they all believe in their faith just as strong as they do, but they don't have solid facts to back their faiths up. Da Vinci didn't either, but he tried to prove it through his art.
The author admits that it is not true. Religous scholars both Catholic and Protestant, liberal and conservative don't consider this book worthy of study. This is fiction.Marinville288 said:The Da Vinci Code is, in my opinion, an amazing work of literacy. Everything he wrote is true, whether you believe it or not. All the facts are right in front of your nose, and Da Vinci truly believed in what he did (I won't spoil the book for anybody...). It's just like Buddhist and Muslims and all other non-Christian religions, they all believe in their faith just as strong as they do, but they don't have solid facts to back their faiths up. Da Vinci didn't either, but he tried to prove it through his art. Dan Brown just took a controversial subject and wrote a great book about true facts, whether you believe them or not.
I highly reccomend both Angels and Demons and The Da Vinci Code.

The Fireman
It does amaze me that people would think his novels were real. That is like thinking The Matrix really exists. In metaphor form the idea works but there really is no machine world having us hooked up in pods and plugged into a virtual reality. In that sense the Matrix is just fiction. I figure same is true for Dan Brown's books.
This is so true!Carly said:People want the Da Vinci Code to be real, that's the difference. There is nothing people like more than to see the Church painted as an evil, lying, oppressive institution.
