The Constantine Effect

I believe that Constantine's legalization of Christianity brought about the rise of Catholicism. I do not believe that Catholicism started with Jesus and Peter.

That would be difficult to prove using church historic documents. If you read what the early christians wrote (and believed) during all of the years before Constantine, you will find a very specific and very Catholic doctrine.
