I love playing sport games. Specifically Football. The PS2 does a great job with the graphics. But the PS2 has no room to talk when you talk about its abilities to make the best graphics. It can't. And i am definitely all about great graphics. That's the very reason i bought the XBOX and it does not disappoint.

179? WOW! Well, tomorrow Im going to a game store to sell a looooot of stuff. Basically: 10 SNES Games, 1 Sega Genesis Controller, 1 Playstation Controller, 1 Playstation, Twisted Metal 1, 1 Memory Card 2x, 1 Game Boy Advance, 1 GBA Carrying Case, 1 GBA Game, and 1 GBC Game. So I'm guessing it will probably be around $160 or $150. I also have a N64, with about 2 games or something, if I sold that as well I would probably have around $200 or more. So, should I sell it or not? Do they still make games for that console? (im posting this all here because I want to use the store credit to buy a Xbox! :))

I hate to burst your bubble ziggackslam, but I don't think you will find a trade in store that will take any of that old stuff.
Nintendo hasn't made any games for the 64 in a long time.

Even if they did take it, I think you might have about 30$ or so in trade value.

But its worth a try, if they don't take it see if your folks would have a yard sale, you might get rid of those things there.

YAY!!!! I SOLD THEM! I only got $64.00!!! :) Now I only need $75 for a gamecube. (someone convinced me why I should get it) Well I didnt sell every single thing, just more of the newer stuff. The nintendo games, I can sell them at downtown. But if I sell them cheaper and with some computer stuff I got, I'll have accurately $120 dollars! :) I already got some friends that want to buy some stuff. :) Im soooooo happy.

I know its sound absolutely strange and wierd but i would love to see Animal Crossing come to the XBOX. Have the graphics ramped up to a level that only XBOX could achieve and allow it to be a much larger world. And be online. I think it would be awesome.

Xbox's controller is so large you could kill small animals with it. Nintendo and sony make much better ones and from my experience, have much better games. Gamecube is ok, but it failed to impress me very much, I actually prefer the 64.

I will have to go with the PS2 on this, it has a good controller, great games, and a huge selection to choose from.

Yes, the S Controller. It's smaller and the buttons have a more even placement, similar to the PS controller. The only issue I can see with it is the placement of the white and black buttons--below the main buttons instead of above--makes it a bit easier to bump them.

Besides XBOX is more of a man game system anyway. Not for the child.

:D

Sounds like you're trying to make up for something. ;)

Exactly!

The game was designed for men, and women, not kids. Kids can enjoy it but think about it.
-The controller is big for bigger hands, and even women like the size.
-It is designed for online use mostly, that is where they are attacking the most. 100 games online by next summer.

Now PS2 does have online but no where near the game selection or quality.
It costs money to play online, and most kids don't have money to play online. Sure they may have online, but its most likely there parents, and that still takes an adult. You need a credit card to get online to.

Well your 14 so you might be better off getting PS2 or GC.
Unless you have cable for the games, and money to get online games.

Okay, I know of no one except the two of you who doesn't think the original XBox controllers nigh unusably large. Even the XBox Controller S is considered a little on the big side!

I guess my problem with their whole online thing is the lack of games I'm interested in. Most of them are just ports of PC games I already have. I haven't bothered to get a live setup for my XBox as there's only one live game out there I'm at all interested in (MechAssault).

Neither platform has a lot of online games yet, and speculating on which has better quality games at this point is a little premature. XBox may be technologically superior, but it's also a bit notorious for having pretty low quality games.

Most kids don't have money to play online? Kids influence the expenditure of more than 50% of the cash out there--there's no way any console manufacturer can afford to ignore them. I mean, everytime I play online, the vast majority of the players are around 12-16.

Or at least they behave like it. ;)
