The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

in gym class we were playing lacrosse and a guy on the other team hit my hand really really hard with his stick and now its all puffy and purple and blah it doesn't look very pretty but it will be alright

Ouch. That sounds quite painful. Lacrosse though ... that sounds like a lot of fun! I've never played or seen it played, although there was a guys' lacrosse team when I was in high school.
Anyone want anything to drink? I'm quite chilly - it's 9'F here and snowy and with the windchill I think the temp must be quite a lot lower. So I'm going to go for a coffee, I think. Or maybe a mocha.

Hey Everyone!
Well, the funeral was very sad, but still not as bad as I thought that it would be. It was packed. My mom and I had to stand against a wall in the church the whole time. There was still a crowd of people from the church doors all the way down the street that couldn't even make it inside for the service. I thought that it was great that just about everyone from our high school was there. It showed how much she was loved.
