  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I still think it's a fallacious line to be drawn, ya know? It is like saying, "Since this here apple tree and orange tree have some strikingly similar characteristics (they both have branches & bark, they produce a round tastey fruit, they both have green leaves, they grow in the same orchid, etc), then the apple tree must've come from the orange tree." It's an interesting idea, but nothing I would consider a convincing proof.

So how would you explain the use of common imagery?

Why is it that Judeo-Christianity share the same motifs as all the other who knows how many traditions, but yet one is taken as absolute truth as if it were created in a divine vaccum, and those other endless traditions are myth?

True christianity and its Bible does NOT have any pagan influences.
Todays pseudo christianity no doubt was and is an evolving religion.
But True christianity was and is not!
Pseudo christianity borrowed many ideas from evolving pagan religions.
such as:
belief of the Syballines, Mithraism, Buddhism, the egyptian tryads, the hindu tryads, zoroateriansm, and etc.

ALL of these were EVOLVING beliefs and it is simple with most of these to find out its beginnings.
And ESPECIALLY Mithraism and zoroasterianism borrowed from Judaism.
(true christianity being from Judaism- and in which Christianity is the TRUE Judaism)
