  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

This verse stood out for me:

Isaiah 15:

Wow, Moab came to ruin in a catastrophic way, here in verse 1. Moab is brought to silence.

Profound.

"The burden of Moab. Because in the night Ar of Moab is laid waste, and brought to silence; because in the night Kir of Moab is laid waste, and brought to silence;"

Isaiah 16:

Whoa! Moab is in bad bad straits. Verses 6 and 7 highlight this:

"We have heard of the pride of Moab; he isvery proud: even of his haughtiness, and his pride, and his wrath: but his lies shall not beso. Therefore shall Moab howl for Moab, every one shall howl: for the foundations of Kirhareseth shall ye mourn; surely they arestricken."

Isaiah 20:

Here in verse 2 God tells Isaiah to walk naked and barefoot.

It took me a while to understand why God would tell Isaiah to do such a thing.

This is an entire Bible study in itself:

"At the same time spake the LORD by Isaiah the son of Amoz, saying, Go and loose the sackcloth from off thy loins, and put off thy shoe from thy foot. And he did so, walking naked and barefoot."

Isaiah 23:

I wouldn't wanna be in Tyre's shoes here. There is a terrible judgement coming against Tyre, as highlighted in verse 1:

"The burden of Tyre. Howl, ye ships of Tarshish; for it is laid waste, so that there is no house, no entering in: from the land of Chittim it is revealed to them."
