Chapter 129: Sand City
"AGHAGHAGHAGHAGHAGHAGHAGHAGHAGHAGHAGHAGHAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!"
It was safe to say that Akuma was, frankly, freaking out. He leapt out of his bed, his bandages tangling his feet and sending him to sprawl onto the floor, coincidentally, right on his fresh wound. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!"
Half of the woman and girls in the cave-room were laughing while the other half were protesting for Akuma to stay and rest, he'll open the wound, he barely survived.
He wriggled on the ground like a gutted worm. "I've got to get out of here--Dread--Kaylee--Oh man!" He passed out.
When he woke up again, a hand pressed him down. "You're not to get up," the girl keeping him down growled. "Doctor's orders."
"But my friends..." he struggled against the strong girl but managed to sit up, gasping at the pain.
"Wings!" One of the girls cried. "Wingswingswingswingswingswings!"
"Are you a fairy?" one of the women asked.
Akuma fluttered up out of their grasp. "I'm outta here!" The women leapt and grabbed his ankles, dragging him down and dog-piling him. "GAH!"
"A fairy!"
"Perhaps he can..."
"But the beast is so strong--"
"He's our only hope!"
There was a sudden silence as the women fell silent. They all stared at him. Akuma, dogpiled, was gasping for breath. He passed out again.
This time he awoke to a slap on the face.
"You have to help us!"
"Wha--"
Another slap. "Get up--"
"Why are you--"
Another slap.
"Stop that! I'm up--"
Slap.
Akuma sat up snarling and scaring the surrounding women.
One girl nodded to another. "He can do it. If he can get up in this state..."
"What are you talking about?" Akuma scowled.
"Come with us, fairy."
He followed them, cringing at his wound. They exited the room to a huge, multi-leveled cavern. Each level was bustling with women. One of the women he was with pointed to the bottom, which was dark and littered with bones. "Down there live Gruel. He's a troll. He demands a sacrifice each month, always a man. Unless we bring him his monthly meal...he'll eat us all. We've tried to fight him. We do all the time. But...nothing's work. His armor is too powerful." She turned to Akuma. "But you're a fairy. You can fight him."
"I'm wounded."
They shoved him off their level and he fell screaming to the bottom. He almsot hit the bone-littered ground when he remembered to fly. He floated to the ground, gasping.
"What's this? Another meal? So soon?" the booming voice was followed by a booming laugh. "Good! Good! I shall feast once more!" A huge figure staggered out of the dark cave opposite of Akuma. "I smell a man! A fairy man! What a treat!"
Akuma reached for his sword, which was...gone. He looked up and saw that crouching over each level was a watchful Sand City citizen.
"Here!" someone shouted. His sword fell from above and he quickly grabbed it out of the air, facing the troll. He gulped as it fully emerged from it's cave. A Level 1 troll.
"But I'm wounded!" Akuma cried to no one in particular. With that, the fight began.
