Chapter 99: Gracious Save(Sort Of)

Nin was flying to the other's energies,when suddenly,they disapeared!

Back in the NaviBar,Kaylee,Blackheart,Akuma,Argyle,and a few powerful trolls were warped out of the NaviBar

Nin was floating above the Earth,trying to look for their energies again,when he was zapped just the same as everyone else.

They appeared in a white room,with gray clouds floating about.A limestone staircase appeared before them."Welcome,one and all....my name is Lumina.Most of you have met me once before...."he gestured towards Argyle and Akuma."I can't wait for you to finish Zachimore any longer,so I just brought you all here......"

Nin growled."Just what DO you want with us anyway?!Do you want us to fight for your amusement?!"Lumina chuckled."No.Infact,all I want is someone to play a game with."Nin relaxed."A....game?"he repeated."Of course...."Lumina laughed."It gets lonley here all by yourself....."he said.Nin looked at the others,and back at Lumina."But,why were you waiting for us to finish Zachimore in the first place?!"Lumina closed his eyes,and when he reopened them,they glowed yellow."BECAUSE THIS IS NO ORDINARY GAME!!!!"he roared,as he shot beams from his eyes at everyone.Their souls were stolen from their bodies,and sealed into plastic figures on,what looked to be,a large chess board.Several large plastic buildings lay before everyone."Ha ha ha ha!We're playing what I like to call 'Game of Death'.The objct of the game is to kill the Master,or main character,of the opposing team.Scattered across this board are 'Forts',large squares designed to recover Health and Energy over a period of turns.'Firing Arms' can also be chosen at some forts,where a cannon is.A turn is sacrifised to rain the opposing team with cannon fire.Anyway,back to the characters.You've been seperated into two teams.One is my team,which consists of Bubba,a troll,C3,another troll,several various trolls,Zachimore,and me.Who will your Master be?"asked Lumina."Okay,who should be our master?"asked Nin."Oh,bnefore I forget,whoever you choose determines the entire teams overall abilities.For example,if Nin here were the master,Everyone would have good Offense and Abilities,but they would be terrible in Defense.Choose wisely."Nin scratched his head."It doesn't seem like we'd have a good chance of winning if I was the master.I'm out.I vote for Akuma."he said.Akuma had just gotten his wings back,so that should have given him a bit more fairy magic."GAH!What's this?!We only have five members!Your team has eight!"shouted Nin."Oh,teribly sorry......"Lumina zapped a large bull looking thing with long horns and strong armor,and what appeared to be the spirit of Akuma's wife!"Oh look,my randomnation picking seems to have picked your wife for you,Akuma!How thoughtful....you two can be reunited once Death passes over you both....."Akuma made a small growling noise,but it came out more of a whimper."We still need one more!"A female figure approached Nin from behind."No you don't!"Nin gasped.He knew that voice."JENNIFER?!"he shouted,mouth agape."That's right!I'm here to save you!"she said,triumphantly."Oh great,just what I need.Jennifer breathing down my neck...."he slapped his forehead."Now,about abilities.When you choose your master,my computer will feed your stats and abilities into the pager device on your arm.You can use it anytime.NOW HURRY UP AND PICK YOUR STUPID MASTER!!!!I mean,your all gonna die anyway....."he laughed,and Zachimore joined him.Lumina gave him a glare that would make a three-headed behemoth back down."I vote for Akuma...."said Nin.

Team Good:Nin,Kaylee,Blackheart(I thought he was bad though......)Akuma,Argyle,Akuma's Wife,Jennifer,and the Alien(who will be known as 'Bull Run')

Team Bad:C3,Bubba,Vardias,Cenlaire,Zatch,Zerumo,Zachimore,and Lumina

Who will win the 'Game of Death?'

Kaylee looked around and caught her breath. She thought to herself I never trusted that Blackheart dude anyway..... . Kaylee said quietly, "What if I were the captain?" and stared at the ground. There was an awkward silence. She could feel the others' mouths drop and them staring at her, not quite sure of what to say to her.

Kaylee said quietly, "I know I'm young, and maybe even you guys think I'm not ready for this sort of responsibilty. But just think, if we lost, we couldn't afford to lose Akuma. But I'm not unexperienced." She looked up, and her bright green eyes were shining.

The others, seeing how much Kaylee had thought about this, still didn't know what to say to her. They didn't want to get her hopes up, but didn't want to hurt her feelings. They were torn between decisions.

Kaylee whispered, "Please excuse me," and turned around, walked a few feet away, and sat on a rock, her back to the others. There she sat, waiting silently, for what seemed like an eternity. She turned the idea over and over in her mind, but still couldn't shake the thought that she had already done something terribly wrong by speaking up. But she couldn't help it.

Chapter 100: The Hidden Power

Akuma held up his hands. "Wait a minute--I'm no leader. I think Kaylee should do it."
The group was silent, staring at him. Argyle frowned. "But why?"
"There's more to her than you suspect," he put a hand on her shoulder. "I think she may have a hidden power none of us have seen."

Kaylee looked up in surprise at Akuma. Her eyes shone. "Really?" she asked quietly. "You.... you mean it?" She choked down a lump in her throat, a somewhat surprised but a little happy kind of lump.

Kaylee looked around at the group. They were all staring at her. She was definately the youngest, but she could see them turning it over in their minds. She bit her bottom lip.

Chapter 102: Decision

Nin pursed his lips,obviously thinking hard."I think Kaylee should do it."Argyle looked at him as if he were crazy."Why?!If she gets hurt,it will be our fault!"Nin thought about what he was going to say."Of course."Argyle's mouth dropped wide open."WHAT?!"Nin smiled."Just think about it.If Kaylee dies,then we lose.All we have to do is prevent them from getting to her!"Zachimore growled,as if saying 'I want to sever your head from you shoulders right now,but abiding by the rules of this 'game',I'll have to wait to kill you'.Nin snarled back at him,which made Zachimore widen his eyes."Imbecile!!!!!"he shouted from across the feild.He tried moving his foot,but he couldn't."W-What's going on?!"he said."Oh,I forgot to mention.The number of squares you move is determined by the roll of the dice.You have to roll to move".Zachimore cursed under his breath,and tapped his shoulder with his claw."So,I vote for Kaylee.Akuma votes for Kaylee......everyone else should vote."Argyle pondered,and spoke up."Kaylee,I don't wanna hurt your feelings,but I'm voting for Akuma."Jennifer smacked him on his cheek."How dare you hurt Kaylee's feelings!!!!I vote for her!!!".Nin looked ."Jennifer's infamous Phantom Left Hand Smack!Jennifer's won her first fight!".Akuma's wife,Bull-Run,and Blackheart were all that were left."I vote for Kaylee,just because I want to kill Akuma later....."said Blackheart.Akuma's wife was obviously going to vote for Akuma,and it didn't really matter unless Bull-Run voted for Akuma as well.Akuma-3 Kaylee-4.Bull-Run decided to vote for Kaylee,so it doesn't matter."Kaylee's our master!"announced Nin to Lumina."Magnificent!"he said.Everyone's stats were filled in through the pager on their arm."Hmm......Jennifer's a Healer......nothing like she is in real life...."said Nin to himself."Just for that,I won't heal you when your in trouble...."said Jennifer,turning her back on Nin."Aaaawww,I didn't mean it like that!"he said,wishing he hadn't.

Chapter 103: Stats

Akuma viewed his stats and class as a strange spiral-shaped sword appeared in his hand. He was a Mage Warrior. "What did you get?" He asked his wife.
He was stilled stunned at her return. She was so beautiful. To see her again was magnificent. If he perished in this twisted game, he would be...happy. He mentally shook his head. No. He wouldn't perish. He would protect his wife. Kaylee. His friends. He would protect them all. He eyed Blackheart warily. That conflict would be taken care of eventually.
"I am a Sniper." A long bow appeared in her hands, a quiver of arrows on her back.
Akuma nodded. He would protect them all. At all costs.

Chapter 104:More Stats

Nin got a belt wrapped around his waist,and a small bag behind him.A headband with a ninja sign appeared on his forehead.He grabbed a bandana from his pocket,and tied his long hair up in it.A traditional Gwon Dao appeared in his hands."I'm a Ninja,big suprise...."he said.Bull-Run was a Swordsman,with short attacking range,but high attack power.

Kaylee stood still and closed her eyes. When she opened them, she was dressed in a sparkling long gown. She lifted it softly to reveal gleaming glass slippers. Kaylee gaped at the esquisite designs on the dress, the pearls and lace sewed on painstakingly. She reached up and felt the soft spring curls bounce. Kaylee smiled in awe. "Wow... its... its gorgeous but... what am I?" she asked.

All of a sudden a small die appeared in her hand. She stared at it a minute, then looked up. "Um, guys?" she said. "This.. this isn't like a normal die...." One each side was: FATE, LOVE, WAR, PAIN, PEACE, and HATE.

Kaylee gasped. "oh my...." and then looked around. "Whose turn?"

Chapter 106

"Mine."spoke up a voice.It was Bull-Run.He stepped foreward,and grabbed the dice.He was the forthernmost character on the heroes side of the board,just two spaces away from the first fort."Allow me to explain a little more about Abilities"said Lumina."There are two types,Battle Abilities,and Feild Abilities.Feild Abilities can be used on the feild,like Jennifer's 'White Healing Magic'.Battle Abilities are skills that are used in battle,like Nin's 'Final Flash'.No matter what,Abilities cost some amount of Energy Points,or EP.Nin's Final Flash cost 50 EP to perform,but Jennifer's White Magic Healing cost 15."

I'm bored so I thought I'd write something random, so you guys can review if ya want, but I highly doubt you'll want to.

To Hell and Back -

'She was gone...and time flew by, like the wind, whistling as it circled in the air. It was hard for the first few months, but eventually he got used to her not being there; her smile slowly fading in his mind, until the months became years, and that smile had evapourated into the frown he now came to live with. It would all come back in just a few short moments had she reappeared before him this very second, and reminded him of those three simple words, but he knew that was highly unlikely, and most probably impossible.

Jack sighed as he leant against the coffee stained desk he'd bought at a garage sale some weeks after the 'incident' took place. His place was at work, where he was needed, and appreciated. Home was nothing to him now, other than a mere place where he was to eat, sleep, and rest. The outside world knew nothing of his internal pain and suffering, of the nightmare he endured each night,waking in a cold sweat, and hugging his pillow, as though maybe, just maybe, if he hugged it tight enough, it might turn into her. each night this went on, he was being torn apart, bit by bit, and the though of meeting someone new, someone who would try and take the place of the one person who could ease his pain, and and make a glimmer of hope run through his viens made him sick to the stomach. Life just wasn't worth living.

He shook his head, and lay back in his chair. "life just isn't worth living" he repeats. The gun lay in his left hand, hanging. He stares down at it for a few seconds. It looks so neat, and engineered...so pretty, yet simple. "She isn't coming back" he whispers to himself, raising the gun up. "She's never coming back" repeats again. His hands shake involuntarily, as he holds the device before his face. The taste of metal fills his mouth, a metallic sourness, cold and sensitive on his teeth. His hands begins to shake more evidently the longer this goes on. "Maybe I can follow her." he says, and one swift motion he pulls on the trigger as hard as he can. The gun shot echoes down the corridor, reminising his co-workers, and his lifeless head falls back, stainingthe back of his leather chair. His arms hang down, by the side of him, the gun lying on the ground, and for a few moments there is nothing but the silence and his crimson blood running in all directions. Then the sounds of running feet choe down the hallways and all is disturbed. Jack isn't there to hear any of this however, as he is not there anymore. That is to say, he is somewhere, but he is definitely,nor never will be there."

Next time on 'To Hell and Back', Jack falls through the pit of Hell, and begins a search for his previously suicidal wife.

Lol, so random.
Anyhow, ya, you wanna know what happens to Jack, just review, and don't expect any sense, cos I just made this up off the top of my head.
