The Canterbury Alehouse (8): Is Lenten Abstinence much in Evidence?

Well, at the gym I went on the bicycle, the treadmill, and did some weight machines, and then I did a neat hydrotherapy session - you lie down in this capsule thing (with all your clothes ON), and it closes, and jets of water pulsate up and down your back (enclosed by plastic, so you don't get wet). It lasted 10 minutes, and was very relaxing!

Just thought y'all might want to know that...

In a few minutes I have to go to church to the Lent Lunch, which is every Saturday, homemade soup and bread and cheese. The money goes to the USPG, the United Society for the Propigation of the Gospel (or something like that).

The homemade soup is usually really nice. Last week it was potato and leek, and it was so good that my kids made me make some more when we got home to have for dinner!

Mmmmm... soup. We've got this great southern red pepper and tomato soup recipe that is just incredible. Anyway, folks, I'm off to cut the grass!
