[Mechanical Bliss]

Purpose: This archive endeavors to function as a handy reference to some of the most useful threads on the forum from 2002 to the present, whether you're a regular looking for quick references to past threads or a newbie looking at past discussions.

Criteria: Inclusion of threads is based upon the originality, insightfulness, and construction of the OP and/or an OP that asks a question or makes an argument that is replied to with good answers and refutations from multiple participants.

Origin: The archive originally started based upon making my own bookmarked threads public, personally scouring the entire forum from the beginning, and hoping that others would find this information useful and be willing to contribute so that everyone finds it useful.

Alterations: Now you're probably saying, who is this guy to choose which threads belong in this collection and which ones don't? Since this thread is supposed to serve the C&E community of regular posters, it's really up to all of you. If there are any threads that were excluded, wrongfully included, wrongfully categorized, errors, or improvements, let me know.

As for the new suggestions, I'll get to adding them when I have more time and am less tired. Mistermystery, some of your links are easy-ins but a couple might be debatable. USincognito, if you have the link handy for gluady's thread, that would be a good one to include as well. If not, that's cool, I'll look for it later when I make the other additions.

I neglected the Quiet Thread for the reason that it is stickied as an archive already. There is some coincidental overlap between this and that however.

This thread was the debatable one. In my scouring, I pretty much ignored those threads that didn't quite fit the main purposes of the forum discussion. It's an interesting thread and I can see how it can fit tangentially regarding issues of wishful thinking vs. science. It's a well written thread, surely. If there are a couple others that follow this example, I can create a new category for them, but as for now it can be seen as essentially off topic, if you understand. I was kind of hoping to keep the archive extensive, but at the same time somewhat concise so it isn't too overwhelming.

It's an odd one I agree, but it still was a pretty good one in my opinion. If was against a specific claim made by a creationist called buddy. I don't mind if your dont include it
