The big Challenge

Hello people, right some of you might know me but i'm sure lots will not.
Now i have been coming to this web site for about 2 months now, and have seen lots of different views on Christianity and also in the outside world.

Ok so i need to ask a question, it seems to me that people turn to God, when they are at there lowest in life, and i'm not saying its a bad thing, just maybe its the wrong way to go to God, but hey i'm new to religon so please stick with me.
Now it seems when things go wrong its time to have faith, like simple things as if there in debt, its time to find religon.
But maybe if they got job or came into money then they would not, look to God, and this them moves onto my main question, why do lots of Christian then say "no i don't beleive in that rubbish anymore"
i think whoa there, just a liitle while ago in your life it was everything.
Like it was just a phase they were going through, got bored so turned to God.
Ok so can i have feedback from people, that know and can see the diference, hey this might be challenging the faith of Christians, but thats a good thing right.

It has to do with humility. We get on a roll and start taking credit for the things that are going well in our lives, instead of giving the credit to God. I think that's something everyone struggles with at one time or another, that's why its important to give God what is his, we should thank him for every breath we take, every moment that we have here on this earth. The feelings of need for God become more intense when things go wrong, and we, as humans, need someone to turn to for help. Its ok to turn to God when we're hurting, but we should always remember to be humble and thank God for all the good things we have going on in our lives. I hope that helps a little.

yeah......... I mean it's definately cool to turn to God when you're down & not something else.................
but we need God all the way, I don't believe I'm anything without God, even if I'd be super-popular, had all the money, friends................................ even when I'd enjoy life, what comes afterwards. And I wanna really love God, not just have Him in my life and do what He wants cause I need Him !

I think most people do turn to God at their lowest because the only way to come to God is if He is truly what you are depending on. The real test if somone has actually trusted God or not is how they bahave, and what they trust after things start going good. (IMHO)

First of all I'd just like to say I did not come to God at the lowest point in my life. Alot of times when people come and ask Christ to be in there lives when they are at the lowest point of their lives is because of God. God breaks you. He opens your eyes to your sin and you get so sick of it and so desperate that you turn to Him. God breaks you free from sin. You are not the one coming to Christ, Christ picks you and opens your heart to Him. Some christians it does seem like Christianity was just a phase for them. This is because they do not spend time with God. It is vital to have quiet times everyday with God. Spend time studying scriptures and praying and praising God for all he has done. This is how you grow closer to Christ and can fill his presence in your life. A relationship with the Lord requires two people. You have to seek after the Lord and have a passion for Him and a want to follow in His footsteps otherwise you quickly fall out of it because the sins of this world bring you down.

It is interesting to note, that when man is successful, healthy and wealthy, he doesn't seem to see a need for a god in his life. He has a god in the form of self, "I" acquired the success, "I" acquired the wealth, "I" an healthy because of what "I" do to stay healthy.


But when life isn't successful, or wealthy, or life isn't healthy, it is the time when man realizes that he has limits, and the dependence comes off of self and the dependence goes upon God.

Many people turn to God because they have tried everything else, and it has failed.

Just to go with the rest, I turned to God when he broke me down. When everything YOU can do won't get you out of your problem, and everything YOU try, and every way YOU can think of all fails.....what do you do?


I turned to the one who controls all, I realized without him I have nothing, without him I can do nothing. He is the only reason I'm alive, healthy, and blessed enough to sit at this computer in the air conditioning and am able to type this post to you.


There is nothing wrong with turning to God at your lowest point...chances are he was calling you long before that, you were just so busy with doing things yourself, you didn't hear him. So, he did what a good father would do..he disciplined you and took some things he gave you to make you realize where all things come from.
